Worried about new coaster rides

I am looking for some insight regarding the new rides at WDW. I love Flight of Passage and could ride it all day. I also love Big Thunder Mountain and Soarin. I have a little trouble in Animal Kingdom with the backward part of Expedition Everest but love the rest of it. cannot handle the more difficult ride at Mission Space. I would love to try all the new rides at WDW this fall but in looking at the descriptions many of them are described at spinning or 3 D. I do love all the Harry Potter rides and have no trouble with the screens, including Hagar's ride. But I really don't want to get on a ride and then get motion sickness from the spinning. Knowing all of the above, what new rides would you say I would have trouble riding this fall? Please help - I don't want to pass on a ride that maybe I would really love! Thank you!

I never have gotten any kind
Of motion sickness or any sort on any of the record setting or hurlamatic…

The list is quite impressive:
Magnum, millennium, top thrill, kingda la

And the headbangers balls:
Steel phantom, great American scream machine, Batman and Robin the chiller, mean steak

Etc etc etc…

And when people are chucking on cruise ships:..I stroll and sip latte…

But I gotta say guardians really messes with the equilibrium. I don’t think it’s anyone thing…just the ingredients to the “soup” as a whole…
I am older…so maybe I’m overstating this…but I have chops.

If you are mixed up on Everest…which is “minor”…guardians might have you bent over the bushes out side

Just saying
My DIL got sick on Guardians and she is fine on most things so I was worried.. It is the equilibrium thing that bothers me. I can't ride the teacups! but love FOP!

It’s the switch back combined with the speed and the free spinning cars…if I had to guess?

Also…real “helix heavy”

I don’t get “circle sick”…but this one really throws that at you in different ways

That being said…I’m sure I’ll go on it twice the next time I’m there…just with headaches 😎

Agreed - Forbidden Journey is the worst for me. Mission Space never bothered me at all.

Guardians is slightly disorienting for me. Like I’m fine once… but if the CM said “want to ride again” pretty sure i should say no. (Notice I said should….. I’d probably say yes! Haha).

Guardians is extremely smooth - so that helps alot.
I think you make a good point. I used to love Everest for example, until I rode it 3 times in a row and it took a couple of hours after the third time to recover! Now i often skip it altogether.

my biggest fear on coasters, especially at Disney, is being hit in the head with a cell phone.

Disney is much too tolerant and needs to eject from the park anyone who holds a phone out on a coaster.
I’ll take a few to the noggin if it gets some of these vlogger twits banned

…then I can see them at Chick-fil-A next to vista way…where their productivity can actually be useful

OOh! I can't do intense MS! I agree with the intensity of Uni's rides but love the Harry Potter rides. It is occuring to me now that maybe when I really get into the theming it helps take my mind off the spinning... What gave you problems on GoTG? It seems other posters thought it was easier than Tron, so now I am curious. I will take a look on You tube. Going backwards and spinning in the dark is awful!
I think it was the simulation that you are flying in a void of space. It is very different feel and sensation than being on a coaster. I can only say it messed with my senses enough to make me a bit queasy but not to the extent that I was going to be sick. The next couple of times I was fine because I was prepared with how it was running. Tron was much easier on me other than the uncomfortable position you ride in.

Personally I find HP Forbidden Journey is the worst in Orlando for motion sickness, so if you say you can handle that, nothing at WDW (barring Mission: Space which no one rides anyway) should be a problem.

It’s that Kuka Arm System on HPFJ. It just tosses you around like a rag doll. I’d hate to be on it if it ever malfunctioned.

I guess in your 20’s and 30’s it’s tolerable and maybe even fun. In your 40’s and 50’s though it can be completely different story.

I got hit with a gum wrapper once. I was going to give it back to the girl who threw it out during the ride and hit me. I didn't though.
