I am! They haven't had a good critically acclaimed film since enchanted. That was 2007! Since then, we have has many crappy movies including:
-National treasure 2
-college road trip
-narina 2
-Beverly hills chihuahua
-high school musical 3
-bedtime stories
-race to witch mountain
-Hanna Montana
-g force
-old dogs
-Alice in wonderland (one of the the only one of these that I liked)
-prince of Persia ( the other one I liked)
-sorcerers apprentice
-secretariat
-tron
-pirates 4
-John Carter
-Timothy green
-oz (which is getting shaky reviews

I am worried about it. They need to make some good movies in the style of the original pirates and the Santa clause and stuff like that! Are there any non marvel movies coming that may be good?

I didn't mind Narnia 2 or Bedtime Stories. All the others sucked including Alice imo. Secretariat I've never seen. Forgot Jonas Bros concert in 3d. The Avengers did extremely well too. I think the upcoming live action slate sounds promising will have good movie results (Lone Ranger, Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Captain America 2, Saving Mr.Banks to name a few). Problem is they were costly movies (except Mr.Banks) so they ALL NEED to be blockbusters. But yeah, Oz will definitely suffer box office syndrome (do well first week or two, then essentially bring in very little revenue from then on). In terms of non Marvel movies, Maleficent with Jolie definitely has me excited. Also Brad Bird's Tomorrowland movie and Star Wars ep.7 have me going too.

Out of your list,I actually liked The Muppets,Tron,Pirates 4,and National Treasure 2.I thought Alice, and Prince of Persia were ok.The rest I havn't wasted my time on yet. I am looking forward to The Lone Ranger and Tomorrowland though. I'm not letting myself get to excited about the new Star Wars. I've been hurt before by them.

Well, it looks like "Oz the Great and Powerful" is going to be huge. Reviews are very mixed, but the box office is expected to do well. And I just read in Variety that Disney's already planning a sequel. So maybe an Oz attraction will indeed appear in the parks? (If so, I wish Warner Bros. would team up with Disney on that. It'd be great to get a ride based on the 1939 film, which is no doubt superior to this so-called "prequel".)

As per your list, I liked Pirates 4 probably the best.

As per the Muppets...meh. Soggy sub-par nostalgiafest at best.

I can count on one hand all those films listed I actually liked. Sad.

I have a feeling I'm going to like Oz and Lone Ranger. We'll see about the others.

All I can say is that I'm glad Richard Ross is gone and Alan Horn is in power as the chairman of the Movie Studios. As a matter of fact I believe that this was Robert's best executive hire. It will take him a couple movies before we see greatness come out of both studios. Go head, say I'm on Purple wave or Wish Rush, but I firmly stand by my statements. Now I know I saw that article saying how he has the lower handle on the digital age of technology, but maybe what Disney needs is to be more traditional in it's movie approaches and make movies that have the feel of the golden days while making references to the modern day whereabouts. To this day, I still play a "what if" scenario based on Disney buying Harry Potter and the impact it would've had on the Disney brand itself.
