Hey everyone,

As always, click any image for a larger version. Once in that window, you can click it again for an even bigger picture for use as a Desktop Wallpaper (or something else), if you feel the need to!

The biggest news is that Fort Wilderness was evacuated this morning, with extra long lines for check-out. Most people were being sent to the Pop Century resort, we were checking out anyways, so there was not an issue with us. Here's some Pictures of the line to get out.

From the Back of the Line...

It was very backed up, but we got out just fine. Disney said the reason for the evacuation was that the trees were already weak from last year's hurricanes, and they did not want to risk falling trees due to high winds.
The line was backed up beyond the 4 way stop.

NOW...TO THE PARKS!
We'll start at Epcot on Thursday night for EMH. Pretty crowded. Only got to do Test Track, and the flashing lights under the track on the outside parts were not working.

The newly redone fountain looks great at night!

The Club Cool is still under construction, but the wall is now blocking the entire walkway to the west of the Fountain of nations.

I realize this is a bit blurry, but you'll get the idea.

MORE TO COME!

The next day, I went into the Magic Kingdom, It was pretty empty until about 11. Anyhow, I did all the VMK quests, which were well-done, but did not take me a full hour each like they said. Of coarse, i didn't go look for the answers I already knew. :hammer: :D I did sign up for the VMK insider Tour. I don't really want to waste your time in this thread with a review, so PM me if you would like my take on it.

The Train Station is cleverly hidden as well. It actually fooled some people standing next to me!

The Magic Kindom Opening is also NOT running due to the rehab. The trains and Goodnight Mickey are still running.

The Toontown Park is again under Rehab. (picture below on reply 18)

A wall up to hide props for the Halloween Party. (just behind barnstormer)

Over at all the parks, courtsey wheelchairs are now offered from the bus stops to the rental locations. Not sure if this is new or not, but I took a picture anyhow...

I realize Everest was already reported on this week, so I will only post one pic., but i have more (just saving them for the future)

I went to see Tarzan Rocks! before it leaves the Animal Kingdom. Thought it was a very good show. I have seen it before, but I didn't remember it very well.:hammer:

still more...

Anyhow...
The Train Station area of Main Street is now actually Curbless!

In other news...Let's talk about Splash Mountain...

Nothing too new, other than it was actually working for a change:lol: , or so I thought. I went on the ride friday morning. No Splash effect when the boat reached the bottem (from the bridge, you can see the fake splash, that was the one not working, i still managed to get wet.) Hopin' Brer Rabbit was NOT working, as well as Brer Fox and Brer Bear at the end with the aligator. One of the Chickens on the steamboat was looking at something behind her shoulder, because all the neck animation was not working. No Jumping fountains, and the bluebird at the end was not working.

I also went on the ride saturday night...now that was intersting...NO AUDIO WHATSOEVER! Completely silent throughout the entire ride. It was working the 2nd time we went through, but not the 1st time. Kinda creepy.:lookaroun Also, They had fixed the bluebird and brer fox & bear with the gator, but that was all that was fixed. also, there was NO WATER running down chick a pin hill. Boy, that makes it seem faster!

Anyhow...that concludes my report...I did not make it to MGM, but it was a good time anyhow. Now please, feel free to ask questions and post responces. There was also a bit of a microphone mix-up at FotLK at the 9:40 on Saturday! The chief's mike went out, but it was covered up very well, and many people did not notice he had a new mike by the time "be prepared" came on. They covered it very well, congrats to the tech. crew as well as the performers for makeing a disasterous mistake into something hardley noticeable.

Until next time!

Why is that when splash gets "fixed" its still broken? Its in need of a major rehab and updating(the good kind).

Other than that i loved the trip report! Thanks!

My room mate during my CP went on Splash without audio and took a video with his camera. It was EXTREMELY creepy!!

I was working all last night at Splash and must say that it wasnt a good night. We first went down due to weather issues, then we had a sensor reading that something was on it but nothing was on it at all, then we finally got back up, and then we had our sensor problem come back. I left at 9:30 and at that point we werent back up. I totally agree that splash needs a rehab.

Ahh...Yeah, the ride re-opened around 9:45, enough time for 2 rides due to no line. The water never came back on. I did keep hearing from the bridge out front "these logs are about to be activated, please stand clear of the logs" We kept waving at the people walking the track on lift 2:wave:

Anyhow...yeah, it didn't seem like a good day, some of the CM's seemed a bit frustrated (not that they ruined the magic, but they were tired, understandibly). The no audio was odd, but all the sudden it snapped on, as if someone discovered the soundboard actually does have a mute button. Who knows, it all seemed very odd. Had a good time!

O, and if you work there, could you tell me what happed to the spotlight on the oppossums in the scene just before the drop into the laughin' place that made the hidden mickey on the right wall, it has been out for about 2 months now! I know it's minor, but an easy fix that should have been done by now.

Thanks for the great update!

You got some great pictures to go along with the information you gave us as well.

Riding Splash with no audio must be pretty scary. That would really freak me out, but probably only at night.

I wonder what they're doing at Toontown.

I'm sure the CM's had guests yelling at them the whole time they were closed.

If it's anything like Test Track, they're able to turn off the show audio with just the push of a button. We cant turn the audio off on all the cars, but we can turn off the sounds of the building (the tires screeching, braking, and random voices) as well as the preshow music.

Great Update!

I've seen the pictures of the coverings used for the Train Station rehab, and I must say people don't give Disney enough credit for the idea. They knew it something was critical, and I can't think of a better way to handle it. They are fixing up something special, but the whole time they are trying to make it as painless as humanly possible. KUDOS!

I swear, the Splash Mountain stuff I've read on this lately has got me scared to death. It's my favorite ride. I love WDW and I love alot, alot, alot of rides. But, Splash Mountain is supreme above all others. I noticed the little things wrong before, but they didn't eat away at me. I've worried a little about the jumping water and the amount of litter sometimes present, but not enough to panic about. However, NO SOUND is a nightmare. I don't know what I would honestly do. Something like that could ruin a ride for me somehow. Not just that one time either, but for every time after it. It pains me to say this, but we go to WDW in DEC/JAN and I would gladly give up riding Splash Mountain for one trip due to a rehab, to insure it lives a healthier life in the long run.

People forget...

that a couple of years ago when they redid the Washington Monument, They covered that up too... I heard that Disney helped them with it and people were surprised also when it was a cover and not the real thing...

What part of Toontown is that? (In the picture?)

Is it the small play area by the train stop?

O my, i just noticed my mistake.:hammer: That is a rehab wall up on the path between tomorrowland and toontown right near the barnstormer garage area. It is there to hide the props and such for the Halloween Party.

This is toon park under rehab. (yes the small one in front of the train station.)

I need to take some pics a bit farther away than just the wall!:hammer:

Sorry for the Confusion, I was pretty tired when i typed up the report.:snore:
