World Showcase Tour- worth it?

My favorite area in all of WDW is World Showcase at Epcot. I am wondering if the Hidden Treasures of World Showcase tour is worthy of spending the time as opposed to just enjoying the area at my own pace. With a wife and 3 kids it is not easy to steal 3 1/2 hours for myself when we visit, so I am just wondering if I should try it. I am a high school global history teacher so this stuff does interest me quite a lot. Thanks.

If you are interested in this tour, you will need to enjoy it very soon. As of April 27, 2007, Hidden Treasures of World Showcase will no longer be offered.

It is a great tour of the showcase that gives you time to check out each country and your guide will give information about the culture and design of all of them. Best of all, you get to do this while the showcase is closed to the public. I recommend it for sure!

Why in the world (no pun intended) would they want to eliminate this tour? It is one of the best! I am REALLY disappointed that I won't be able to take it again on my next trip.
