World Showcase Dreaming

Couldn't help myself. Thought about doing this once on a blog I started as a wdwmagic member but never posted. I came back to it after honeymooning for almost two weeks in an Epcot resort. And as I remember a year later how much fun I had, I always think of what I saw as a child, what I saw recently, what I think after loving Epcot since the early 80's and going more times than I could count, and pondering the future as I visit and peruse this website as a member.

Totally self-indulgent thread, but maybe not.

Okay, any ideas?

I think I can first start with Canada.

My dream is for a pub/eatery, casual....I would love for Le Cellier to branch out...a large, dark, wooden cabin-like place that serves the cheddar beer soup, the amazing burger, apps, and sandwiches. Part of me wants it dark and enclosed, and instead of windows, dioramas of the outdoors. Kitschy, thematic, but well done. My inspiration is Roadside America in PA or the Roosevelt Rotunda from the Museum of Natural History in Manhattan. It would almost look like you are looking outdoors but you are not. But then again, the Canada pavillion is so nice, an outdoor area would be great too. And I would move Offkilter there.

There have been so many food additions to WS that I think China should have a restaurant that is all dim sum, and I thought of a few places I have gone to in Chinatown in Manhattan. I would love a place in which the dim sum moves on a conveyor belt, with lots of variety. But how to run an operation like that with a deluge of visitors. Would have to be a set price or maybe another idea?

I have other things I'd love to see, but I think this post is long enough.
