Old Japan:
This section is themed to Edo period Japan. Actors playing samurai add to the experience by asking guests for passports. The passports, while not mandatory, can be bought at Miko’s Emporium Of Bonsais And Kimonos. The minor attractions here are Shogun’s Palace, a Japanese Castle with actors playing guards and the Shogun himself, along with servants, who guide guests, Kappa Pond, a pond with a friendly Kappa, or humanoid turtle water yokai with a beak, the Kappa allows anyone within their pond to hop on lily pads, ride on Koi fish backs, and even follow him. The other attractions are Sumo House, a sumo ring, and The Museum Of Weapons, a museum showcasing Shuko, claws that were used to climb walls, Throwing Stars, Naginatas, or polearms, smoke bombs, bo staffs, and Grappling Hooks, and Kanji Academy, a school for Kanji Calligraphy. The main attraction here is Mount Fuji Mayhem. This is a roller coaster with dark ride portions that tells the story of a battle between a red dragon that symbolizes fire and the blue Cloud Dragon, symbolizing Water. Its highest point is the summit of Fuji, which has cold air blasts. A landmark is a giant red bridge above the lake.
