World of Disney Store NYC

Does anyone know, approximately, what they pay seasonal employees at this store in NYC? Are there other employment opportunities at this location besides retail, such as, DVC sales, vacation reservations etc.? I know the store is run by WDW Theme parks and resorts division so I was also curious about the benefits. Does free admission to the parks mean 1 free ticket or a season pass and what type of hotel discount do you get? Any info on employment at the Fifth Avenue store would be appreciated.

I can't comment on the pay or employment opportunities (I would expect pay for a seasonal employee would start at 7-8/hr. and higher depending on your position), but I can say that free park admission is essentially a season pass to the parks for as along as you work for Disney. And hotel discounts vary depending on the time of year. Off-season discounts will be higher, and I remember reading/hearing that it can be up to 50% (thought I'm sure that doens't happen often). Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a DVC booth set up in the store, but as I've never been there, I don't know.

Thanks for the reply. I went to the WOD store yesterday and picked up an application and checked out the store for myself. On the application it doesn't mention $ and it doesn't ask you what type of position your looking for. The types of positions available are Entertainment, Guest services, heart of House, Merchandise and Sales. Can anyone elaborate on these positions? In short, I'm looking for a career with Disney in NYC. I have a BFA degree in graphic design and years of working experience, however, not in graphics. I'm willing to start at the bottom but $7-8 hour isn't going to happen. At $8 hr. it would take me 2 hours just to pay for my commute from Long Island and I live 1/2 hour outside of NYC! Honestly, I want to get my foot in the door and then be promoted from within.

Yeah, I have no idea about the $$$. I know the cost of living is much higher in NY than it is here in Kansas, so I'm not sure at all. I just that if I went to go work for the local Disney Store here in Kansas, I'd be making at most $7/hr. Also, I was assuming you were talking about working in merchandiss/guest services. I don't know what type of entry-level positions they have for people with BFAs.
