Is there any chance that The World of Colors show in California Adventure is going to come to Walt Disney World Resort? I think it would be a great idea to move it there for a while. i was thinking in Epcot in the World Showcase water

Its not the kind of thing that can be moved.

Is it possible they will eventually build a clone at WDW? Absolutely. According to the DL Twitter and FB, they just had the 500th performance of the show already. Thats a lot of performances in 6 months.

It won't be in World Showcase Lagoon, though. New lake somewhere. Possibly a Fantasmic replacement. Possibly at DTD if they think they can somehow make money off of it there. But the show doesn't fit the Epcot/WS theme at all.

It is assumed that Illuminations will get World Of Color (no "s") technology soon. Illuminations: Countries Of Color is a fan favorite for the title.

We know there has been things tested and talks have been made. But as of now, nothing.

I've read here that eventually technology from WoC will make it to IllumiNations. I also remember reading that a WoC type show themed to nature is wanted for DAK, but they don't know where to put it because Discovery River has a dirt floor. A water show on the lake is rumored for Hyperion Wharf and it everyone wants it at DHS but some claim Hollywood Hills Amphitheater is too small.

i really don't think that Disney is going to put a show like WoC in DAK because the park closes so early

That would give them a good reason to keep the park open later.

I wouldn't mind seeing the technology brought in for use here, but I don't think I'd want the same show, even though it may be a long time before I ever get to DCA to see WOC.

Well, that would be the big reason to actually put it in Animal Kingdom - to keep people in the park longer, and spending money, into the evening.

very true. Come to think of it after they release all of these new Disney's Nature movies they could make a mash up of all of the animal movies like Tarzan, Dinosaur,Lion King, e.c like WoC in DAK

I don't think attendance is the reason for such an early closing time. I am sure it has something to do with the care of the animals.

As for the world of color clone/remake. I vote for either DHS or EPCOT.

It's totally attendance. The park was open late for EMH and during the first year.

Anyway, as others have said don't expect WoC to come to WDW as a clone (like Fantasmic) but more like enhancements to existing shows (projection technology used for new castle show, for example) or as a whole new show (like Indiana Jones Adventure and Dinosaur.)

The whole 'early closing for the benefit of the animals' argument is a myth. As noted, the park is occasionally open late for EMH, safaris have been run after dark before, etc.

Animal Kingdom needs a nighttime show like World of Color, however it couldn't work in the existing bodies of water - they would have to build a new venue for it from scratch. To me the best area would be the large expansion plot behind Asia. However, with a nighttime show, the park would need more attractions to fill that gap.

Not really a myth, just an exaggeration.

The care of the animals does come first and animal care doesn't hesitate to take them off show at night if things need to be done.

The reason for the poor attendance/early closing is that there are fewer than 10 attractions in the entire park and several of them involve walking/riding to look at animals. To keep the feeding schedules, some of the animals have to be cared for at the same time of day. When that happens, there are about 6 attractions in the park. They really need to give that park some love and, in my opinion, that along with DHS has the most potential to build a Potter Swatter. Imagine a new continent as well as the beastly kingdom opening with a new E ticket in each. They would also include new shows, smaller rides, and more varied dining. AK could then stay open later, even without a night spectacular, although an animal themed version of WOC would be cool!
