Working at disney in the summer

Ok, so I really want to work at disney for a summer. I looked at the college program, but it would really set me back in school, and I can't sacrifice a semester there. I would just love to spend a summer working at disney. Problem is that as far as I know, they do not have a program where they house you and you just work for the summer. I believe i would have to figure out housing on my own... does anyone know about how I could work there this summer and if there any opportunities for on campus housing so I could be at disney making money instead of working and not making any at all?

Thanks for any and all help!

Back when I did CP they had 3 sessions: Fall Semester (which I did), Spring Semester, and Summer. Naturally, most people wanted to do the Summer BUT that meant it was much harder to get into. The people I knew who did get accepted for Summer didn't have the best of experiences. The problem is that you're there for a shorter amount of time and it's all Peak Season. Meaning that you work longer hours and don't have much free time to get out and enjoy the perks of actually working there. The good thing about being there for a semester is that you're there for a longer period of time; you're still working alot but you have more free time as well, given that you'll be there during a non-peak season. Either way, I personally don't think it's possible to have a bad experience; it's a really great opportunity and the best time I've ever had. I just think you get more out of it the longer you're there.

And I WAS able to get credits for it from my college so you might want to see if that is an option.

GOOD LUCK!!:)

The only summer program remaining is the Alumni Program UNLESS you do custodial, housekeeping, or lifeguarding for which there is a huge need. Contact the CP office for info.

Last year was the first year they offered a Summer Program for non-alumni.
They may or may not do it again this year. If they need people, they will offer it.

Yes, for the above positions I listed. If they are doing it for other roles then I've never heard of that outside the International Program.

This may work out after all... if I end up staying at home this summer, I will be working at my local pool as a manager lifeguard... soooo this could be a great thing.

They need people... badly. The quantity of those offered roles has gone down within the past two years. Thus, the quality of CPs has suffered. :( But trust me when I say Disney is trying to figure out a way to make things right again. It may take a few years to go into effect, but there will be some substantial changes implemented regarding college students.

Edit: This applies to more than just the summer seasonal program... the whole CP.

That sounds awesome! How did you find out about it and how did the recruiting process for it work?
