We officially have booked our trip to Disney. I'm glad we waited a few more weeks so we could do the Spring deal. But it was so exciting to get to start on our itinerary and book our very first character breakfast! This is our first family trip, the last time we went was our honeymoon. We will actually be in Disney during our 10 year wedding anniversary :) What a perfect way to celebrate and now this time with our handsome son!! We also booked another dinner at Victoria and Alberts. It was exciting to pick out our magic bands and all. But I do have a question about the kids club for the night we go to our dinner at Victoria and Alberts. Has anyone used it before? We are staying in the Animal Kingdom Lodge so of course will be using that one. I just want to know everyone's experiences. My son has ADD (non-hyperactive) and SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder) and I'm sure the staff is experience with special needs children but I just need reassurance. I feel horrible to have to leave him there but he can't join us for dinner. He will be 8 when we go in April and keeps telling me, "It will be OK mommy, I'll have fun with the other kids!" So I figured the more experienced visitors can give me some comfort in knowing it's OK to let him spend time there for a whole 3 hours max!

THANKS!!!

How exciting! We used the Neverland Club at the POLY last November for 2 hours while my daughters and I dined at Ohana's....the kids have dined there before with us and I have to say it is both of their's least favorite meal at WDW and one of our favs so after looking at the price of their meals versus 2 hours and 2 kids at the Neverland Club, I felt like we were getting the deal of Disney so to speak. Plus they fed them.
Kids totally loved the Neverland Club. We totally enjoyed our dining experience. DGD is 9 and DGS is 7. DGS is not diagnosed anything but lets say he has listening and control issues on a regular basis and some learning problems at school too.
Love AKL, what a great choice. Sounds like a wonderful vacation. Have you seen the cake thread ??? You ought to get a special little cake for this trip you have planned if you don't have major dietary restrictions going and have a nice family meal somewhere and end with the cake. I am doing it for our next WDW trip even if I can't think of a special reason. These cakes are awesome looking. Even the plain cheap ones are neat IMO.
Happy anniversary too!

We actually used the Kids Club at Grand Floridian when we dined at Victoria and Albert's. We felt better having our daughter at the resort we were eating at instead of where we were staying. That being said, I'm not totally sure if it is still open there - it has been a couple of years and not something we look in to regularly. She was 6 at the time and had a blast.

I did see the thing about cakes while working our itinerary and I thought we should get one to celebrate our 10 year anniversary but only when our son is at dinner with us! We will have to check out a place to go to that is part of our deluxe dining plan. I think my son will enjoy the club house. He probably won't want to leave when we come to get him. He loves to play with other kids, he makes friends so easily!!
