Wonders of Life did open back up today, I don't remember how long it's been since it was closed but it sure was good to get back inside and see the place again.

First up, the pavilion map - note that Well and Goods and Pure and Simple are still listed.

Looking left towards the covered up Well and Goods...

...and to the right the Anacomical stage and Sensory Funhouse area. Pure and Simple counter is closed up but the seating area's tables and chairs are still out and accessable.

I never even noticed the "mobile" that hangs from the center of the pavilion before!

Cranium Command had decent attendance and is still a nice attraction, if you can overlook the 80's fashions! It's aged well and we really enjoyed seeing it again.

The Sensory Funhouse areas were as popular as ever, a good number of kids and families spending quality learning time together (remember when a report on your trip to Epcot got you class credit?!)

More to come...

Making of Me and Body Wars had surprisingly light crowds.

Looong queue line from those hour plus waits in the 80s, never noticed before that they listed the cast

Still more queue, anybody else remember standing here for thirty minutes in the pre-Fastpass days?

No more Body Wars pics, but a quick note on the ride itself: the sound and video were way off track, at least by a second or two. I hope they get it worked out while it's open, it's the only part of the whole place that wasn't operating smoothly. Place looked amazing considering the amount of time it was mothballed.

Goofy About Health was powered up and had some of the older and younger crowds taking a load off.

Coaches Corner (where CMs analyzed your golf or baseball swing) and the fitness area (with the video monitor exercise bikes) were covered and not operating, and no Anacomical players in the theater.

And to close, I hadn't seen any pics of the new mini tipboard just outside Innoventions so I thought I'd get one

Thank you soooo much for one of my last looks into WOL since it will be closed for good by the time I get there in a few weeks. *tears up*

Screamscape has a couple reports that WoL will be demolished next year to make room for a new pavilion. No word on what it would be, though. I think this is the first it's been open since...was it last Christmas or the year before?

Its been open at least twice in the last year or so (not including right now).

Body Wars is ROUGH for me -- didn't like it. Plus that sliver scene is nasty! Cranium command (like that other film making of me) is dated.

There's a reason this attraction isn't open all the time.

Its too bad. The building looked so neat when it was being constructed (from the monorail) and even now.

Curious what they'll (if they'll) replace it with.

p.s. screamscape I hear isn't too reliable.

Also, the final exer-cycles outside Body Wars' entrance (on the right) were behind blue walls/curtains last time i saw the interior - have those been removed?

While I will give you that Body Wars might be a bit rough (unless you compare it to the nightmare that is Back to the Future: The Ride...then it's nothing), I totally disagree that Cranium Command and Making of Me are that dated. About the only thing I ever found dated about the attractions were the costumes worn by the cast members...and those could be fixed more easily than demolishing an entire building to put in what will probably amount to a lame adrenaline/speed ride. Cranium Command and Making of Me have something most of the attractions now at EPCOT lack - edutainment. That's what I originally fell in love with EPCOT for, and now, except for Spaceship Earth, Circle of Life, Living with the Land, and Ellen's Energy Adventure, I feel that's gone from EPCOT.
If they really feel they must change Wonders of Life, I wouldn't be opposed to putting something in Body Wars' place (maybe just an update with more high-tech effects), or perhaps an attraction on the right side of the building which always seemed so dead to me (Anacomical Players...blah. And there are enough restaurants in EPCOT).
More than anything, maybe people just need to know it's open again. If you keep a place shuttered long enough, word gets around, and no one thinks to look for it again. Perhaps they should put some kind of special advertising for it in the guidebooks...make it into an event. They're good at that kind of stuff.
Long live Wonders of Life!

It has, in it's defense, been slow. Tuesday Soarin' and Test Track were walkons.

If it's dead between christmas and new years, then we gotta just let go ;)

WoL closed at 7pm last night same as UoE. I also visited EPCOT yesterday. I was pleasantly suprised to see WoL open. I found EPCOT crowds kind of light for what I hear is supposed to be a very busy week.
I don't think many people realized that the pavilion is back there.

My son and I enjoyed visiting the WoL pavilion. I had never taken the time before to watch the Making of Me. I did yesterday, its cute. Who knows when I will get the chance to see it again.

Body Wars looked in sync to me. Maybe one simulator is off? We enjoyed Cramiun Command too. Ahh sweet nostalgia.

Any chance of Timekeeper opening too?

We went to look at Club Cool, and see the Candlelight Prosessional. We were going to take a quick spin on M:S, noticed that WoL was open and did that instead. The weather wasn't the best yesterday. Cool and a bit wet, of course that didn't stop a full crowd at the show.

P.S.I had forgotten how awful Beverly was. YUCK!

Has Epcot made any effort to advertise that WOL is open (listed on guide maps, tip boards, perhaps extra signs). Most people are used to it being closed and may not realize it is now open. Then again if the the crowds are light, WOL reflects it. Crowds could probably increase if Pure and Simple was reopened. Hey, shove a character meet and greet in the old gift shop area and watch what happens to the crowds:wave:

Screamscape is not really a source for anything but pictures. And even those are usualy a couple weeks old by the time they are posted.
