I was at Disney World last weekend and I went to the Wonders of Life Pavilion. The Pavilion looks old. It needs touch ups.

One thing that’s outdated is “Frontiers”. “Frontiers” is where you learn about all of the new Health Technology. What old about the sections is they talk about MRI. MRI came out in the 90’s. Come one!

Cranium Command looked ok and seemed good. Only part I want changed is the carpeting on the walls and a renovation.

The bating cage is still close.

The pavilion seems dead!
-----------------------------------------------------
The Living Seas also looked horrible.

Last time I was their- renovation was occurring on the manatee tank.

The Seas Pavilion looks old.

The second theatre in the begin (where watch the movie) is now a storage place.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Both Pavilions need sponsors and rehabs badly!

What do you think?

Don't take off the wall carpeting!! It's so sentimental. Heck, almost every attraction at Future World had Wall Carpeting. It's very cute. Maybe repaint, but not destroy. We're lucky WOL still has it.

However, I agree that ANY attraction can use a rehab. But people must be careful that they are
(1) Still pleasing the original fans
(2) Taking the original ideals to a new level for more audiences, yet not ruining the original concept
(3) Making sure that what is really going on is better than the original as far as technology. Another JIYI or Food Rocks won't cut it. We need a "good" renovation for a good attraction.

I do hope, however, that the healthy and colorful atmosphere of Wonders of Life doesn't dwindle. It provides a healthy and soothing place to spend a few hours with entertaining shows and creative exhibits (which can always be updated, of course!). I mean, Mission: Space and Test Track are polar opposites, there kinda needs to be that place on the same side that has a great capacity (and a great theme!).

As for Living Seas, I believe that the pavilion should stay!! NO doubt about that! But, of course, some work can be remodeled. Some gizmos replaced. There isn't really much that can be done except for remodeling; Disney is not about to drain the precious "5th largest ocean" - it really shouldn't.

So both attractions should have their original themes and be given a new level of technology and more dazzling imput gained, in the hope of progress. Long live them both!

I voted "yes" if this wasn't clear. LOL

Ok the Carpeting is ok but it needs to be cleaned and updated.

I find the Atmosphere to be like a Doctors office. Cold! Look up when you go in- all white.

The ride should stay but I disagree about them not doing anything. A lot can be done. First- make the INFORMATION updated ! Seas film new! Seas Cabs more interesting. Heck do something like Horizon with facts while on the car. Have adventures down at Sea Base Alpha. Don't drain the 5th sea but enliven it.

Oh, I am all for films being updated. Sure! All for updating. But with its given information, not with "the times" as far as pop culture goes...ugh (Tiki Room).

But as for WOL, it's VERY colorful!! Sensory funhouse, the reds yellows and blues...If my stuff was operating, I'd post some pics. Just take a peek next time!! :)

animegirllover - sometimes attractions need to be updated. If X attraction was left the same way for decades, it would soon fall apart! Maintenence and some refurbishment would always be helpful. For example, the Carousel of Progress. That changed since 1964, didn't it? But just look at its remodeling! It's been upped with more musical scores and fantastic set updates. I LOVE the Country Bears, but if they can put in a new set of even more advanced animatronics, it'd make it even greater!! We're not saying destroying the original spirit or essence, taking away what makes it up. We're improving it. But I feel for your distrust due to the poor changes we've been seeing.

I think Disney needs to re-evaluate its program of refurbishments - some of the attractions do look a little sorry for themselves.

The Wall Carpeting must never die!

I love WoL, but only for walking around inside the pavillion, love the feel, but it does need some help...

They just need to be spruced up a little. Clean what needs cleaning. Add some fun updated things. Change what is obviously dated (with respect to the original ideals). I'm sure nothing bad will come of them investing some money into either pavillion. :)

Have a wonderful day ya'll!

I think it some places they need to overhaul the pavilions. These pavilion attendance seems to be dead. Get some life into them!

And what better way to celebrate life in Wonders of Life!!

Actually, when I was there in April, the area was pretty crowded. Update, sure. But don't ruin it. That side of EPCOT is congested as it is with two major thrill attractions opening up side by side. There kinda needs to be a place like Wonders of Life as far as a type of a pavilion, and its lessons learned.

Did jcrb write that the movie room in The livning seas is now a storage facility????I think this person did. does anyone besides me think that this could be a place where they are storing material for the renovations. maybe new Cars and even paint . well lets all hope so because this place needs some help

The impression that I get every time I get inside W.O.L is the same. I love the pavillion, people, but it looks like most of the attractions are closed, shut down, out of order, being refurbished. And I'm not talking only about those that really were discontinued, I'm talking about everything. You don't really know if it's working or not. I think we should not get too nostalgic about everything in WDW, some thing do need to be redesigned to portray a new meaning. Specially in EPCOT were the future keeps going and going on....

I did not visit these two pavilions for that reason. I use to love Living Seas, now I don't give it the time of day, and The Body Pavilion needs a major overhall IMO.

I believe both need help. The pavilions need new sponsors, so they can help with the process. Sometimes I go into Wonders and nobody is there!! HELP!!

Well said. When I do visit Living Seas, it's when I need to kill 20 minutes or so... and when I visit Wonders of Life it's cuz I still must do those few (Crainium Command and BodyWars) attractions but I don't hang around the pavillion too much- just not that interesting anymore

I haven't been in either one in so long... I've only been in the Living Seas twice in all the times I've been there and the last time I was in WOL, was during the millennium celebration. WOL reminds me of that time during the late 80's - early 90's when everything thing was donned (sp?) in neon colors with the "confettie" design all over the place. It definitely needs to be redone, I'm sure there are sponsers out there to help that one (think of all the other insurance agencies or even national hospital organizations)

Cranium cammand is good, body wars definitly needs a re-hab I like it but it seems so out dated now, carpeting dosn't make an attraction so they can have free reing with that. I propose a health resturant all fruits veggies and vegiterian dishes, more stuff about learning about your body and health, overall a new paint job.

The living seas, needs the inside of it's tankes painted, I could sware I saw rust. when you go in to the building you should be directed right to the hydrolators, bring back the sea cabs, make the ride longer so you see the fish and have a small dark ride. the inside needs a repainting and an update to the 80is styleing que's. other then that all is ok. haven't been to the resturant there but I hear it's pretty good.

Come on the Universe of Energy is a lot better than those two other pavilions. At least the Energy pavilion get people unlike the Health and Seas' pavilions.

Can I say I've NEVER been to The Living Seas? Seriously, the only time I went to EPCOT without a tour group was during the International Program, and I was kinda on a date, so we only did TT, Figment and SE, and had lunch in Mexico... All the other times, the guide just didn't feel the need to take us to LS...

As for WoL, the only thing I really know in there is Body Wars. But after hearing around here about Cranium Command, I really want to check it out, I LOVE Norm MacDonald!!!
