Wondering how to petition a no rehire status

Hi all. For a tl;dr, I was termed during my college program in 2022 for "poor judgement." Now, that's basically all I was told. It's been a year since then and I'm wondering if there's any way to appeal that. I don't really want another job with Disney, per se, becuase my experience sucked, but I'm worried that having that on my record will look bad to future employers. By next fall I'll be in a D.C internship, and I'm wondering if that might give me some brownie points within the company. Would love to know everyone's stories.

Good news: Disney only verifies days worked and top level job title, that’s it. They won’t give your rehire status or reason for termination.

That's like saying youre trying to work for Walmart and want the bad reports wiped from when you worked at Target. If it's because of references, Disney cant tell the other employers why you got fired to begin with.

Thank you. But that's not really the question either. I want to know if it's possible in my case that I could somehow get my no hire status lifted. I just mentioned that because i felt it was noteworthy; I really just want to see if it's possible to get my status lifted. I did enjoy working there.

Depends on what you do to get the poor judgment ruling. If it's something serious then no they probably wont lift it.

Then you should be able to petition it after a year of positive employment history. Don't forget to sound as sappy, apologetic, and Disney fanatic as possible in your appeal letter.
I think the problem is that I haven't been working this year. I've been in school full-time. I'm graduating in the fall. Should I wait until I get a year of steady employment and then try again?

That is correct. If anything, having a degree + a year of professional experience should make you more valuable to Disney.
