During the day is the platform for World Of Color visible or is it hidden under water and brought up at a certain time?

The answer this summer is.... it depends. My last DCA visit a week ago had one third of the platform raised in the late afternoon when I was in Paradise Pier, with a couple guys in scuba gear swimming around it. The other two big platforms were submerged.

Some folks have reported that when they get to Paradise Pier first thing in the morning it's all submerged, but at least part of it rises up by afternoon while they fiddle with it.

They are still tweaking and adjusting this big piece of equipment, and the entire show. I would expect that with each passing week and month more and more it will all stay underwater until close to show time. The show is barely 12 weeks old remember, and it will be with us for decades.

Sounds like its sorta like IllumiNations. From morning to mid afternoon, World Showcase Lagoon is empty, and then by late afternoon, the barges are brought out and the techs start their final checks.

I'm guessing WoC will operate on a sort of hidden during the morning/visible during the late afternoon schedule. There's so much hardware and show equipment that raising the platform(s) during the day to check/fix things is probably almost a necessity.

It's also worth noting that the park has been closing at 11PM nightly with 3 shows a night. It has been going non-stop since rehearsals without really giving the show some real downtime for any tweaks or maintenance. With the summer season ending, the park is scheduled for earlier weekday closings and 2 shows a night, i'm sure that will give them plenty of time to fix up any issues that came up since the show premiered.
