First off I am so excited only 25 Days until WDW and WL!!!

We are flying in from Pittsburgh and are having Quicksilver pick us up and are doing the 30 inute grocery store stop.
First off where do we stop?

I am thinking water, more water , juice boxes for kids (6&8) and some chips. Not sure how big the frigs are in the WL rooms? Can anyone help with this?

I am already packing granola bars and fruit snacks, rice krispy treats, you know the no breakable snacks for us and kids. Plus gives us extra room for souveniers on way home.

Thanks in advance Lisa

We like to shop at Publix when in Florida, but I'm not sure where the closet one to WDW is. The fridges are not really that big, think dorm sized. They will hold a 6 pk of soda, some juice boxes and some water bottles. We just replaced the ones we used so there was always some ready. We always bring snacks with us too. I especially like peanut butter crackers because they can become a quick breakfast for me and also be used as a snack.

If you are looking for just a few small things they sell them right at the WL. But if you want to stop at a real grocery store (we always make it one of our first stops) there is a store at the Crossroads Shopping Center. Its just past Downtown Dinsey and the DTD Resorts. I think the store name is Goodings.

Of course things are cheaper there then at the resorts.

When we went in 1992 and stay off property, we picked up some stuff and to keep it cold we placed it on top of the old a/c that the hotel we were staying at had. You know the ones that stick out a foot or two from the window and is as wide as the window. The water and stuff got nice and cold while we were gone.

The good old days. ;)

If you are stopping at a store buy a throw away styrofoam cooler for your room . They are cheap and we usually get one when we have a rental car. We usually get lunch meat and bread and soda (or beer) goodies and cereal and juice and keep it in the cooler .

The refrigerators are the smallest kind they make and be sure to check the setting. Ours was set where it was barely cool. The last time we used quicksilver and made a grocery stop, I let the driver pick and he took up to Publix. The prices were good, not real crowded and it seemed like it was right on the way.

Goodings at the Crossroads is the closest grocery store that I know of but the prices are very high. You might do almost as well at the WL store. Publix is the big grocery store chain out here.
