WL food court?

We usually stay at a value resort so we can travel more often, but we're considering the WL in Dec. Does the WL have quick dining options similiar to the food courts? We love to pick-up milks out of the cooler as well as bakery goods and so on. I have read about Roarin Forks, but just don't know the extent of whats available.

Thanks

WL is very limited compared to the other resorts. You can pick up your basics, but the variety of what food you can get is not that large. Not only that, the sitting area in there is really small. At the end of the day, you are lucky if you have a place to sit. We usually had to take ours back to the room. As a matter of fact, the limited food is one of the reasons why we are going back to staying at POR because we need that variety and larger food court with a two year old. Don't get me wrong, though. WL was a great place to stay other than that.

Roaring Forks is more like a counter service/self serve combo. While small it did suffice for what we were looking for. Since you have the Villas right there which are the DVC resorts, you do have a few more selections at the retail outlet as well. they have refrigerated goods and some other food items.

The main reason to stay at WL during the Xmas season are the decorations. Although I haven't stayed there during December, guests continue to rave about how nice everything looks. It might be worth it just for that.

The Roarin'Forks is a snackbar, not a food court. They offer breakfast, lunch & dinner...hot & cold. They have salads, sandwiches & soups. Cereals, baked goods and snacks. They sell milk, sodas, coffee & teas. This is where your refillable mugs are bought & its self service to refill. There is a small seating area in the main room and a larger one to the right...that used to be the arcade.

Check this out...
Roarin' Forks

We usually stay at the WL and eat in the Roarin' Forks frequently...great for a quick breakfast or lunch, but usually as a snack after swimming or doing the parks. The snackbars at the other Deluxes are about the same.

Thanks for the info. This sounds like it will be just what we need. We're scheduling many PS's elsewhere, so this should be enough. As long as there's milk(maybe chocolate), basic snacks and sandwiches all should be great.

Thanks again for your wonderful info.

We only used it to fill up our refillable mug. The Wilderness Lodge is AWESOME!!!!! We stayed there last December and it is the only Disney Resort we've stayed at. One morning I got out of bed in my pajamas(messy hair & glasses), took our mug downstairs, filled it up and went back to the room. I don't think I would do this at another hotel, but the Wilderness Lodge is just so warm and homey!

Alot of people do that! Some people don't even bother with shoes or a robe.
Get there early enough (before it opens) and you'll see some very crabby people standing around waiting for coffee.

I really felt like getting the hot chocolate and sitting by the fire, but a full day at the parks ahead. I wound up drinking all the hot chocolate before I got back to our room. My parents and sister were mad.
