This might seem like a strange question but can you hear the train at MK from the Wilderness Lodge? That's what I loved from my stay at the Contemporary, hearing the train and the howl from the Haunted Mansion..

I wouldn't say I am an expert, but we did not hear the train when we stayed at WL. Could hear the boat's whistle though.

No you can't hear the train from WL. You can hear the whistle of the MK launch but other than that all you'll hear is nature.

We did hear the train during our stay at VWL. We think the reason was that the wind was from the NW, and "helped" the sound travel, because I didn't believe it was the train whistle I heard at first. But it was definitely the train whistle.

We frequently stay at WL, and if you have a standard view room on the west side of the building, you will hear the train whistle. Won't hear it in rooms located across the hall, the pool view room.

We stay at WLV a lot, and can only hear the train when walking around the beach area. The Lodge itself, blocks the sound of the train from the Villas.
