Some more details are emerging regarding the new Wishes firework show at MK.

There will be around 800 shells per show, compared to 300 for the current Fantasy in the Sky
Pyro will be launched from 10 new locations around the MK
The theme song is based on the kid's rhyme, Starlight, Starbright
Show length is 12 minutes, up from 7 minutes for Fantasy in the Sky
Story elements include, Ariel wishing to be on land, Aladdin wishing on the lamp, Pinocchio wishing to be a boy
Jiminy Cricket is the show narrator

This seems "very explosive" to me. I'm lucky enough to be going to WDW in about 5 weeks. :lol:

2800 for Illum. However, the MK shells are considerably larger.

Size DOES matter. Ha.

The intensity should be picked up a bit. 800 in 12 minutes is over 50% more frequent than 300 in 7 minutes. :lol:

I am soooo excited for Wishes! I watched Believe from DL and it was amazing. I can't wait.:sohappy:

I'm going to be there Oct. 1-9, but haven't heard for sure that Wishes will be taking place by then. The calendar on the Disney World website still lists Fantasy in the Sky for the whole month of October. Does anyone have any news about what day Wishes will debut? I really would like to see it. Also, will the fireworks for MNSSHP be different than either FITS or Wishes? Any info is helpful. Thanks!
