Wishes Rumor or Fact?

O.K....I am not sure if this is known or if it is really true HOWEVER...last week while in the MK a CM told me the story behind the "Wishes" song. She told me that the little girl that sang it was a "make a wish" child and her wish was to become a recording artist. She recorded "wishes" and 2 days later passed away. Now, again, I have NO facts on this....but a CM did tell me this while waiting for Wishes to begin.

I thought this was extremely moving...........

that's a pretty horrible story for a CM to make up...I have no idea if it is true or false, but I would feel ashamed for making such a story up if it is, in fact, false (even if the CM just heard it from someone else, at some point the story would have been made up by someone).

Um......there is a part of the audio that runs during the fireworks display that is definately the voice of a female child. That child's voice is the one that the CM was commenting on. :lookaroun

Kyle, ITA and that is why I came here with this. I just want to know for myself if this is really true. It's hard enough for me to make it though Wishes without turning into a complete blubbering mess and knowing something like this, if it's true, would make it nearly impossible. I figure if the real answer is to be found, it will come from someone here.

Nope, it's an adult who worked at the Great Movie Ride. High singing voice.

I am not saying it's true - but I have heard the same thing, the only difference in my story is that the young girl is still alive... but i do NOT know this for truth.

No note of this in the CD inlay. I would assume if it was true their would be some note saying "In memory of ???"

Charity Farris is the child singing the start to wishes, did an internet search and she appears in some duets with other singers,so dont think she has passed away. Her name appears inside the cover of the Wishes CD,under the producer and directors.
