Wishes Question

We are gearing up for our trip to WDW, we arrive on Jan 30. We have not told my 3 year old that we are going, we will surprise her when we arrive. As far as she knows she is counting down for a plane ride.

Because we are not telling her, we got her the WDW planning DVD to watch and a copy of WDW Explorer for the PC for her so she will what is there when we arrive. She has been talking about "tinky clock" a lot and neither of us knew what she was talking about. Well it turns out "tinky clock" is "Tinker Bell". She talks about her all the time.

So my question is this, does Tinker Bell fly up to the top of the castle in Wishes like she did with Fantasy in the Sky?

I hope so because I would really love for her to see her.

Thanks,
Mike

Yes!!!

...kind-of!

She still flys out-and-down onto the roof of the Plaza Pavilion from the castle.

...she just doesn't come out and START the show like she used to, though.

Thanks that will be enough. I just want her to see her. When does it happen so we can be sure she won't miss it.

Thanks,
Mike

Not quite 1 minute into the "show".

A little narration,
some "back-drop" fireworks,
and then out she comes!

I'll see if I can find a link just to be sure of timing.

Thanks very much. She will be thrilled (as will I). I really am so excited to go back because I have always loved WDW. Now to share with my own child, I just can't wait.

Here's a good link Steve had put up a while ago...

I know there's probably better video out there, but this is nice (and shows TINK!)

about 1:40 into show!

Scroll down to "11 November Show"

(...but, you'll need a WDWMagic pass though.)

Sigh...I hate to give a "secret" away, though I'm sure this is no secret. I saw Wishes three times while at DW in Dec. I saw it at the park at Mickey's Xmas party and then twice from the top of the Contemporary Hotel. I have to say I've never seen fireworks from that perspective and the finale where the last bit of fireworks surrounds MK is just awesome from that height. I actually preferred watching it from the rooftop because I got to see all the fireworks. And the best thing is you don't even need a reservation for the rooftop restaurant. We got there ten minutes before showtime and just hung out until it was showtime and then walked outside to the observation platform. Awesome!!

Okay, since it Wishes questions, I have a question that I'm positive has been asked before....Has the soundtrack been released yet?

I know I'm gonna sound like a pansy when i say this, but that soundtrack had me THIS CLOSE (as though you can see my hand gestures) to tears...I would really like to own it. More info please!

i know what you mean, DisneyFreak! i haven't been on the verge of tears due to a Disney soundtrack since 2000, but Wishes almost did me in! maybe it was because i knew this past trip will be my last for a while, i dunno.
i don't THINK there's a soundtrack you can buy just yet. i think it's still probably too new. but i'm not real sure. when i was there in Nov, i don't remember seeing any soundtracks for sale. if they don't have them by now, then i'd bet they're coming sooner or later. :animwink:

 aww! there's nothing wrong with showin a little emotion, even if you're a guy!

Oh, and I almost forgot, Diz-knee phreek (cool name by the way) what soundtrack got you all messed up in 2000? Illuminations?

thanks! :D several years ago i was trying to come up with a cool ICQ name, and a dear friend of mine gave me that one.

the sountrack in 2000 was the whole 2000 sountrack, but mainly "We Go On". i still get a little teary eyed on that one. but the ToN and Illuminations bits kind of get to me too cuz they're just so danged powerful! i just can't help myself!

there's only one soundtrack that i refuse to listen to, but it's not Disney. i listened to The Return of the King soundtrack all the way through once, and i bawled so much that i haven't been able to listen to it again.

OH Sweet Jiminy H. Cricket! Bill, do you know where I can find it...
I've tried Kazaa, MIRC, WinMX, but I haven't seen any hint of it...if you know anything...please share the info!

And D-P, the We go On finale is exactly what I was referring to! Great minds cry alike! And as for the Tapestry of Nations....Sigh... personal moments with that one, but especially the music at 13:05 through to about 18:25 that gets me right here...oh you cant see my hands, im tapping my chest in the area of my heart...yeah.
