I am so excited for this! I love watching the fireworks at all the parks, it is probably one of my favorite things to do. This just sounds incredible and I can't wait to see it. :)

Be sure to check www.disneyworld.com for official hours. If Wishes isn't already up, I'm sure they will add it shortly, once Wishes is announced to the general public (as of yet, I haven't seen an official press release, only Al's letter to CMs and this interview-type report)

They are trying to have it ready by the grand opening of M:S and Philhar. (Magic Gatherings) But they aren't positive it will be that date.

Wonderful news. It's begining to look like Magic Gatherings will be a good celebration with these three additions. The show sounds spectacular, and combined with Phimharmagic (which also sounds very good) and Mission: SPACE (which I know is great) will make this a great year for WDW.

What is Magic Gatherings?
A fifteen month...I'm not even sure I'd call it a celebration...more of a marketing campaign, starting in October. Not a celebration in the usual sense of having a host park, new parades and things of that nature--just a campaign to get large groups to travel to wdw. I'm not necessarily excited about Magical Gatherings--moreso about Wishes, PhilharMagic, and...well, I've already ridden Mission: SPACE, but it's a great addition too. I had just always hoped Wishes was a project name, not the real name for the fireworks...I was hoping for a more creative name, like Believe...

I actually like the name. Especially considering it is a name that reflects the story that will be told through this new fireworks show. After all, don't we "WISH upon a star" and aren't "dreams a WISH your heart makes"? It seems like a great concept. I especially love the narration from Jiminy Cricket at the beginning........

"I bet a lot of you folks don't believe that ---- about a wish coming true, do ya? Well, I didn't either. Of course, I'm just a cricket, but let me tell ya what changed my mind. Ya see, the most fantastic, magical things can happen -- and it all starts with a WISH!" (courtesy of the posted article above).

Wishes, don't we all wish to be at Disney ;) :)

I dunno, it just feels like Fantasmic!, IllumiNations!, and SpectroMagic are much more creative names. Maybe, by Wishes, they are just going for something more subtle like "Believe..."

I just happend to check the park hours and magic kingdom has hours listed for fantasy in the sky for pretty much the entire month. I wonder if this means they've already decided that wishes wont be ready in time or if they're just leaving that time spot open for "a" fireworks show and will change the name at a later date. :veryconfu

My guess is the second one. Unless of course something happens with the show where it would be postponed, ie: technology, creative difference, etc. I guess it can change at anytime, could debut in october, or could debut in January- you never know. I'm also hoping for an October debut so I can see it.

I guess disney is just being conservative, kinda like Mission: SPACE. But, again, there haven't been any official press releases for Wishes, so until that happens, I wouldn't expect to see anything about it on the official websites.

Meega, nala kwishta!
We are doing MNSSHP on the 24th of October, and I was wondering if the firework display they would have would be the Wishes show, or do they do something different for the MNSSHP shows?

Reason being is that will be the only night that I'll be over at MK to see a firework show, and I'd hate to miss Wishes cos' it sounds great!

Looks real good too. I never actually sat or stood to watch the entire Fantasy/Sky show lately b/c I've seen it so often. But a new show will of course lead to utmost attention by me.

It's funny, my town has fireworks every Wednesday all summer long, and they are horrendous, quiet, all green, and nothing at all special to look at. I enjoy a Disney fireworks show even when I'm not fully watching it, but just hearing the bangs and music playing is comforting to know they are indeed good, and still a constant at Disney.

Missing Sorcery/Sky though...
