We have a 9:25pm reservation at chef mickeys, Wishes starts at 9pm. I don't want to miss any of the show. So now i have questions lol...

How long is wishes? Would we be able to see the whole thing then walk over to the contemporary or should we plan on watching the fireworks at the contemporary observation deck prior to dinner? I dont care where we watch i just want to see the show and be on time to dinner!

Thanks :)

If you don't mind watching wishes from the Contemporary, just watch it there from the 4th floor observation area then you are right there for your ADR without having to rush or worry about it, and you will be on time for dinner. Easy peasy, but some will say you have to see Wishes from inside MK.

I would watch the fireworks as close to the train station as possible then quickly duck out to get to the resort monorail in order to make your ADR on time or be slightly late.

If you don't need to see Wishes from the park Epcotisbest's answer it the best solution. We've watched the show from there many times and it is literally a 1 minute walk to Chef Mickey's.

You can either run from the train station to the exit and take the walkway, and if you hustle you might be only a little late. Or sprint to the monorail and pray it's quick.
But I reccomend the fourth floor observation deck or, you can take the elevator up to the floor right under the California grill decks, and watch it from there, where you will still be able to hear the music

Actually you can't take the elevator to the floor right under the California Grill for this reason. The 14th floor at the Contemporary (which is the floor you are referring to) is one of their two Club Level floors and it's only accessed by using the MagicBands in their elevators.

You could just walk up the stairs.

You can always access California Grille Lounge, have a drink and go outside t watch from the top floor. The lounge is accessible to anyone. then just go down to your reservation. Fourth floor observation deck is great as well, just a little more crowded.

Since the California Grill check-in desk is on the 2nd floor of the Contemporary Tower along with a specific elevator that goes up there, you need to see if they have room in the lounge just to have a drink. So if they are very busy you could be told no for doing that.
