Wipes for 3D glasses?

Does anybody know if it's frowned upon to bring eyeglass cleaning wipes to clean the 3D glasses you're issued for shows?

When we visited DL last year, every pair I got was either covered with water spots or tiny fingerprints left by goo-coated toddlers. I tried my best to clean them with a shirt tail, but for the most part it didn't help.

I can't imagine the glasses would be damaged by the wipes, but I don't really know for sure.

I see no reason why you couldn't. Not like you're gonna be using sandpaper on them or anything. Heck, every pair I get is scratched beyond belief anyhow.

Welcome to WDWMagic, by the way!

3D Glasses

According to SkipperBen on the Inside the Magic podcast (he was a cast member several years ago working Muppets 3D and the Jungle Cruise), the glasses are cleaned daily. In fact, a pair of glasses is used only once a day. When you deposit them in the "trash cans" at the end of the show, they are taken to a wash facility. That's why when you get a pair, they may be a little wet. It's from the washing, not "toddler goo".

Thats good to know! I always carry sanitizing wipes with me and would always just wipe them down, and as a Mom to a gooey toddler, there is nothing better! HA HA HA!
