"Winnie the Pooh" snubbed by the Annies

Nominations for the Annie Awards (basically, like the Oscars of the animation industry) were announced Monday morning. Unbelievably, Winnie the Pooh didn't get a nomination for Best Animated Feature, but Cars 2 did. I've haven't been as hard on Cars 2 as most people, but there's no way it deserves a nomination over Pooh.

Hopefully, the people at the Oscars aren't so foolish.

The Annies have been the joke of the animation industry for a while now, in part of because of the incident in which Wall-E lost every single category it was nominated in (and there were many) to Kung Fu Panda a few years ago. Disney even withdrew its eligibility to have its films nominated over supposed corruption in voting practices, although they obviously retracted this decision.
