Winnie the Pooh queue refurb

I knew this was going to be a big problem with the interactive queues. Atleast they are fixing it and not letting it deteriorate. HM is next. I already noticed the book shelves were broken and only one book was moving forward.

Yeah, Tigger's bounce spot was a mistake. Interactive queues should be interactive, not play areas. Interaction in a sense of, you push a button and somthing happens.

I wonder if this will mean that they'll return the Fastpass machines. I vaguely remember them originally being set to go across from the attraction but it might be a good move to just put them back where the tigger bounce spots are.

The book shelves were working perfectly last week.

It would be a great move. It's ridiculous to have them at Philhar. I'm sure the cast members at Pooh get asked where the fastpass machines are hundreds of times daily.

It's almost gotten to the point that if a guest is holding park tickets, opens their mouth, and says "Where-", we automatically point and reply "Other side of the carousel, Mickey's PhilharMagic; the pink and blue tent. Yes, for Winnie the Pooh." There's a sign, but it's small, badly placed, easy to miss, and hard to read. The new queue is very pretty, but full of headaches (both literally and figuratively), and doesn't work as well as the old one.

The rumors I've heard are that Tigger's Bouncy Place will become a small meet and greet, and Pooh's FPs will stay at Philhar, and eventually, half the machines will be for Mermaid's FPs. I swear someone here said and/or proved that Mermaid's FPs will be located at the attraction, though. Or maybe they said Mermaid won't have FPs. I don't remember.

I'm not sure if a week is enough time to make the Bouncy Place into a meet and greet, but the Pooh characters are moving from Fantasyland to Town Square on the same day the queue closes for renovation. Could mean something, could mean nothing. They are among the last of the regularly meeting characters in Fantasyland; the rest have been booted out. The Alice crew are the only ones left.

Hmm... could be very significant. I thought that the Pooh characters were going to have some kind of permanent MnG setup facing the attraction sorta where the FLE construction wall is now. Also, I believe this is where the fastpass machines were going. If the characters are being booted out of FL, it could be something.

It could just be 'due to the construction', which is the reason given as to why Mary, Bert, Peter, and Wendy are no longer found in FL (as well as the stepsisters, the wicked queen, and the dwarves during MNSSHPs, and possibly Mickey and friends during EMHs). Ariel is the only character with a concrete reason for being relocated.

I believe that there was supposed to be a Pooh-themed area across from the attraction back when that island in the middle of FLE was supposed to house the Cinderella and Aurora attractions. But when it got changed over to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, I'm pretty sure the Pooh meet and greet area also got canceled.

The worry of this is they are going to have to constantly spend on upkeep for these interactive queues/playgrounds, instead of the rides themselves and they will be left in bad shape. Pooh and Pan both are crumbling, Pan worse than Pooh but pooh is not in great shape. Only the mansion seems to really be kept up, as it should I guess since it is a park jewel really.

Exactly, that's my beef with the interactive queues. I just feel it's a maintenance nightmare and we already have way too many maintenance nightmares at WDW!

It's kind of sad that other than Alice and her crew, there won't be any meet and greets in Fantasyland, of all places.

If anyone cares to look in the Imagineering Field Guide for MK, in the pooh floor plan there was supposed to be a M&G space built into the part of the showbuilding right behind where TBP is now. Unless TDO has re-purposed that space, It would make complete sense for the current TBP to be a small queue space for an indoor Pooh M&G.

I'm not a fan of M&G in general, but this is one case where it would be idiotic not to convert the space to a M&G.

I forgot about Rapunzel, since she's on the cusp of Fantasyland, practically in Tomorrowland or the Hub. But they've booted Flynn, so it's just Alice and friends and Rapunzel by herself in FL. :(

That space is called the Rabbit Hole (due to the teacups); It's a storage area/workshop of sorts. Not sure how easy it would be to convert it to an M&G space.

It makes a lot of sense to find some way to put the fastpass machines in Tigger's Bouncy Spot in the long term, but I don't think a week is enough time for it to happen.

I think the Tigger Bouncy Place could be used for a Pooh meet and greet location like the new one in DL. The DL one would fit in well in this area of the queue.

Crumbling? You guys are so hard on the park sometimes! Not literally... Ha

Yes there are for sure maintenance issues, but Meg is on the west coast now & everything will be totally better when she comes back, right? :)
