Hey, All!
I'm totally new here but came across the site in a page of results when I searched "I'm a 40yo woman. How do I keep from crying when I go to WDW for the first time?" So, thanks for being here!
My go-to Beta (though it might have been VHS) tape growing up was Robin Hood - had that bad boy on repeat so hard my mom had to teach me how to use the machine so I could play it in the early morning hours and not have to wake anyone up to help me. Haha! Then, of course, the Renaissance happened, and my sister and I constantly requested the most recent Disney releases from the video rental store. I got Aladdin on VHS for my 10th birthday and still have it! Seeing The Lion King in our little town was an event - standing room only! Luckily two people left before the film began and our parents installed us in those seats while they stood for the entire movie! I was obsessed with that soundtrack until Pocahontas came out when I was 12. Being proud of my native heritage, that film moved my deeper than any other - hence the name. Though, it's funny, too - my married name is actually Smith! Go figure!
Anyway... hubby and I had to put off our honeymoon until we could afford it (we got married last May 1st!!) and are excitedly planning our trip for this September! It'll be his 3rd time, but my first and I still can't believe we're going!
I'm looking forward to gaining any knowledge I can from you fine folks, and, in time, sharing tips with future Disney friends. Thanks for letting me join your fun!!
