Half does look to be the same as last year. Didn't remember it meandering as much in DHS, but checked the book, and its the same.

That AK route looks interesting - wondering how it will handle the numbers though, looks like it could get congested.

If it's anything like the Everest Challenge it will be shoulder to shoulder all the way.

Some parts were so tight we had to run down in the ditches to get around the crowds.

I'm guessing the AK part will have the worst hill as well....Going uphill through the Oasis at after mile 4 will be a challenge.

Course is the same but it looks like they extended the finish a little more into backstage since there was a little congestion once everyone got finished and tried to get into MV for bag pick up

That AK route looks interesting - wondering how it will handle the numbers though, looks like it could get congested.

It wasnt too bad last year. I have run in much much worse. see below.

Naah. By the time you get into AK, at least last year, things spread out and it isnt that bad.

I'm guessing the AK part will have the worst hill as well....Going uphill through the Oasis at after mile 4 will be a challenge.

I love hills and this one wasnt bad compared to the overpasses on the highway. There was much more to look at and get interested in in AK as apposed to the long straight away around 2 and 6 with rolling bridges.

Thank you for posting...yes, there are changes...looks like the relay exchange is not in the parking lot as in year 1, but moved inside the AK, the exit from AK last year followed the same exit as we do in the marathon, now it looks like it's back out the front gate, also, best I can tell, we may be going through Lights Camera Action set the reverse way, then run outside the set on the return...that's just from a quick glance, they had to shorten somewhere in order to make up for the end extending to a different finish like this year to get rid of that finish issue from last year...they got my $...I'll be there.

I like it better this way. There was too much meandering in DHS last time.

They got my money too, and my DVC reservation (and wait list)

I would post the GPS of last years W&D for a stare and compare, but Garmin Connect is down right now.
