Wine and dine half marathon

Hi does anybody know if disney are still doing the above event I found it in info on this website but its 2011 so I wondered if they still did it? If so do we know any dates (approx) for 2014 and also how we register, prices etc etc. thank you x

Yes, Disney still does the Wine & Dine half marathon. Dates are always subject to change, but lately they have been holding the race weekend during the last week of the Food & Wine Festival. There's a link on the above page to register, and I'd expect registration to open in June 2014. This year registration for the race started at $175, and the price increases as it gets closer and closer to the race. It's entirely possibly that Disney will raise registration prices by $10-$15. Disney races always sell out and this year's Wine & Dine half just hit capacity last week. Next year will be different though: it's an anniversary year (the 5th anniversary) and runDisney normally produces special finisher medals for anniversary years. So I'm guessing that the race will sell out even faster in 2014. Other Disney half marathon weekends have also added 10K races along with a "challenge" of completing both the 10K and half (meaning an extra medal), so this may happen too.

That was probably more than you wanted to know. If you really want to do this race in 2014, keep an eye on the above link. They'll have the official dates posted along with the date that registration opens. When registration capacity hits 50% they'll post updated numbers on the page so you can know how full the race is. Also keep in mind that if you stay on property only some of the hotels have transportation to and from the expo and race...so you need to consider that when making resort reservations.
