Will you miss Spectromagic?

Im really excited about this new (Well...Oldschool) parade, but i am going to miss hearing "Upon this mAGIc NIIIGHTTT!...."

Just wondered how people are feeling about it.

I think it hasnt offended too many people.

If you have seen the parade before how is it in comparison to spectro?

I like Spectro but I have never seen the Main Street Electrical Parade so it will be nice to see something new for a change.

I love both parades, and I absolutely love the Tokyo Music brings back great memories.

I am not a big fan of parades, so I am ok with the temporary removal of Spectro.

I waited for an hour for Spectro last October and was SO dissapointed. I had seen it when I was little and had high expectations but it was just BLAH.

The only Parade worth waiting for is Boo to You.

I am not a parade person either so strictly from a nostalgic stand point I like the MSEP. For me Im not bothered by the change, my wife on the other hand, not so happy. She LOVES spectromagic and is very disappointed it wont be there in July.

For some reason I am so emotionally tied to the music of Spectro. I will miss it but I think things need to go away for awhile in order to fully appreciate them. I won't get to see MSEP, but I'll be excited when Spectro returns.

I am as well - the music reminds me of my childhood and whenever I hear it outside of the MK I immediately want/need to be on MSUSA. Looking forward to see MSEP, but will be happy when Spectro returns.

I'm not gonna lie, but yes. From the first time I saw it when I was 8 in 2005, I loved it. I enjoyed it all, from seing the Spectro Men on the Whirly Balls to the 3 Little Pigs painting their float. Everytime I see that finale, I can't help but cry tears of joy. It always gets me everytime I see it, even on the internet. But I'm looking forward to seeing MSEP and I know I'm gonna love it. And I can't wait to see Spectro back.

SpectroMagic is OK I guess...i don't think it holds a candle to Main Street Electrical Parade....The score is fantastic, but I'm not so sure I like it as parade music. "Baroque Hoedown" takes the cake on that one.

I love spectro, however I have never seen Electrical so I can't very well judge it. Im not too up on my parade knowledge, is Spectro gone for good or is it just gone for the summer?

I cant really say I'll miss it. I prefer it over MSEP, but I never really plan to or actually sit down and watch it. But I do plan on watching MSEP, so I guess I wont.

Main Street Electrical parade was great, in 1976, at DL. It was good, but outdated when I saw it in 1996. But Spectromagic--my absolute favorite. Yeah, I'm going to miss it.

I liked SpectroMagic alright, but it's the only nighttime parade I've ever seen at the Magic Kingdom. It's time for a change, and I hope that a truly new parade will take SpectroMagic's place sooner rather than later.

My College Program starts Aug. 9th, so I'll be able to see MSEP a few times hopefully before Spectro is back. I'm excited to be able to see it, but I love Spectro. I saw MSEP back in 2000, but I don't really remember it, just waiting in front of the train station for the night parade.

there is no real time frame for the Electric Parade to leave.. you wouldn't ship it all across the country for just 6 months..

That's like my mom. She likes WDW, but is not obsessive about it like I am. She was sad when I told her about MSEP coming back. She just loves the Spectro music and is very emotionally attached to it.


For me, I'm the other way around. I was a CM the last time the MSEP was in the MK, and that music brings back many fond memories of doing PAC before and then sitting on the empty curb watching the parade go by.
