OK, just booked it for a quickie - 9/13 to 9/15, staying off property (cheap & decent) and will do F&W on the 14th. Wheeeeeeee!!!

Ours is 9/8/01. We were on our honeymoon when 9/11 happened. I'd be unable to forget our anniversary if I wanted to.

Ugh. I was in NYC on the 8th that year. (Went up to visit the family in NJ for my bday 8/31.) On the way to see friends in Lawng Oiland (driving through the City) one of them called me and said, "You have to stop at WTC and go to the top" to show it to a traveling companion from Ohio who had never been. (I had gone on class trips and so forth as a kid and took it for granted.) Anyway, I was rushing and decided not to go. And then it was gone 3 days later, the morning after I got home to FL.

And then no phones worked for most of the day to check in with everyone up there.

Saw a cousin of a friend with whom I used to work holding up her picture on CNN looking for her. She was gone. I watch the ceremonies every year and wait to hear her name.

Went back for San Gennaro and it was so weird.
