I think it might.

For the future, it depends on if new owners want to be more conservative or go ahead and spend money. Also it depends on if the management that is in place stays or the new owners want him replaced.

I would think that the new attractions announced will be continued, but may have some corners cut to save a little cash.

No, it shouldn't effect expansion too much, but it would have some effect.

The IOA expansion should be for 2003/2004. 2004 is it's 5th anniversary, so they might do something special for that year. The new IOA will be in JP, with the rumored spot to be in the field between JP and TL. However, I have a hard time believing it would be built in that field because, if the whole field was used, it would cut a good deal of expansion room out of Toon Lagoon. It will probably go there anyway. The new ride is rumored to be a flying coaster or a dive machine. I've been told it will not be a Jeep attraction or a wooden coaster...

Well, the parks are such a small part of Vivendi that their day-to-day operations are not going to be affected at all. In fact, they are fixing to repaint Dueling Dragons at some point in the near future. If they could get someone else to shoulder some of the expenses on the new E-ticket, then I doubt there will be a problem with that either. The only thing that would dramatically alter the parks is a sell of Universal to soneone else. Unfortunately, that is fairly likely.

Well, it could be a good thing. I have heard that Dreamworks may be interested in the parks. They do have a few associated movies turned attractions by Steven Spielberg already:

Jaws
E.T.
Jurassic Park

I think Vivendi Universal is going to become the next Worldcom! (only joking:lol: )

AOL Time Warner is also one of Disney's biggest competitors and they are doing horrible!:D HA HA!

A Dreamwork's owned theme park would be a wonderful thing, but I don't think they could purchase Universal Orlando outright. However, there could be a chance that they could purchase a portion of the resort if it were ever sold.

They were on their way when Messier was in charge. Thank God he is but a memory now.

And Disney is doing perfect? Face it, the economy is hurting all of these companies, and the decisions they are making are making the it worse.
