As you might of heard, Stellantis recently idled the Belvidere Assembly Plant which built the Jeep Cherokee, claiming the move was done to save cash for the transition to EVs. While Belvidere was apparently in consideration to build the next generation Charger and Challenger EVs, they are now going to Windsor Assembly instead. While that move makes sense considering Windsor is a much smaller plant than Belvidere and those Charger and Challenger EVs are obviously going to be very niche products, do you think Stellantis and the UAW will come to an agreement in September 2023 to save the plant and give it product that will better fill it up than niche muscle car EVs?
