Will Rapunzel's tower be staying at Epcot after F&G?

It isn't really a topiary like the others. If not, could it be moved somewhere else in the parks? It is kinda cute and helps guests keep the music fresh in their minds as well as the film.

I hope so, I think it's a nice subtle way to keep the movies presence in the park.

Seriously, what was the last song from a Disney film that has a regular presence in the parks?

Enchanted songs pop up on a rare occasion. Monsters Inc's "Wouldn't have nuthin'" even more rarely. Mulan was the last big movie to get it's own parade, right? Tarzan was booted for Nemo and only really exists in Disneyland these days.

Let's hope the $260 million Tangled has some park holding power.

It's about 8-10 feet tall between Italy and Germany. Plays the music. Windows open and close. Very much in tone with Storybook Land at DL.

They need a Princess and the Frog 'exhibit' somewhere to.

Seconded. It didn't make as much money as Tangled, but people LOVE Tiana. In another thread we were talking about how great a Tiana's Palace at POFQ would be. I'd be incredibly happy if they brought back Tiana's Showboat Jubilee, but we all know that'll never happen. :(

As for Rapunzel's tower, I haven't seen it in person yet, but if it stayed for more than a couple of months, I wouldn't like it. World Showcase is one of those places at WDW that has managed to stay mostly pure and free of forced synergy. I don't mind character performers being out, but I don't like characters/movies being permanently inserted into places that were designed to be character-less and realistic. I'd love something Tangled in Fantasyland, but at Epcot it doesn't sit right with me. JimboJones is right that it's very Storybooklandish, and I can see them moving the tower to DL, if the scale is right.

Not that this little tower staying would make me angry, but I just feel it would be better placed elsewhere.

My vote would be to put it up on the hill behind the new restrooms in Fantasyland.

Exactly as they will have to do something to hide the HM show building if/when the skyway is removed. Elaborate rock work could duplicte the scene from the movie and really create stunning visuals similar to what folks are praising them for with the FLE.

Perhaps the Epcot add was to test guest's reaction to Rapunzel this soon. From what I hear it was a hit at Epcot so I think it has a chance of going to the MK.

I completely agree! The pics of the tower are great and I hope it's still there when I go on June 15th. As the date gets closer keep posting out there on the status!

Beauty and the Beast stained glass window in France...?

It's oddly placed. Most small French boutiques don't have giant colorful stained glass mural-windows... Even so, that's better than a random tower placed between two of the countries, seemingly for no reason. At least the window tries to blend in. I'm with everyone else that the tower could be put to better use in the FLE.

They've wanted to include elements of Tangled in the Fantasyland Expansion. This wouldn't surprise me.

i really hope they do. i saw this film a few days ago, and was totally blown away at how much i liked it. i must have seen it another 3 or 4 times after that, making sure the whole of my family saw it, and yeah, not a single person disliked it.

right now, what with princess and the frog and now tangled, im feeling rather positive about the future of Disney animation.
