Will one of the newer ships make it out West?

With all of these newer ships, do you think one will make it out to the west coast/ San Diego? We did a week cruise on the Dream last Spring. Although we enjoyed it, I wouldn’t fly to Florida just to do a Disney cruise again. Any cruise for that matter. Too much of a hassle. Now, if the Destiny, Treasure, or Wish were out here doing 7 day Mexican Riviera cruises that’s something I’d do.

Is there a cost differential between operating a ship on east coast vs operating same ship on west coast? If so, as a business owner, the decision seems preordained.

Ships are to big to travel on the interstate and they have no wheels --stuck on the east coast

Doesn't the ship have to fit through the Panama Canal to get to the west coast? Can the Fantasy and larger ships fit?

I mean it doesn't HAVE to fit through the Panama Canal to get to the West Coast. They could sail it around the tip of South America. But that's a long trip and not one they likely want to make. But maybe someday it will happen.
