Will Hollywood ever launch mortar shells again?

As the home of some of my favorite Disney firework displays I'm very disappointed that they haven't been launching the moarder shells any more. Is there plans to bring them back or at a new launch site?

I think you mean MORTAR shells.
As far as I know ALL of the WDW fireworks are launched from mortar tubes. If you are talking about a particular type of shell that is a different question.

The OP is asking if any of the future DHS shows will use exploding aerial shells instead of just mines and comets.

To answer your question, the current JBJB! Show uses small exploding shells shot from the rooftops. As to if they'll ever shoot high level shells again, I have no idea.

Here are a couple of photos of the EPCOT fireworks barges where you can clearly see the mortar tubes for launching the fireworks.

One does not simply barge into mortar.
Unless one is a seagull.... They play a recording of a seagull in distress to keep the seagulls from landing on the barges and pulling the wires out of the tubes. (True) They think the wires are something to eat because they are so gullible.
It was easy to get the recording. They just showed a seagull what a vacation at WDW costs now.
