The rumor of Disney purchasing GardenWalk has been spreading like wildfire. It is my understanding that it is indeed up for sale again. There are arguments and counter-arguments for if they will buy it. Some of these include that they do not want to deal with the current businesses in the plaza and their leasing agreements, or that Disney does simply not have to put up with the city of Anaheim anymore. Obviously, this is for Disney to have more land in the area to expand their current resort, and eventually connect to a possible future third gate at the current Toy Story Parking Lot. They are most likely not just going to run the mall in its current state. I personally think that they will let leases die out, and then demolish the complex for future expansions.
