Will changing resorts effect our pin code discount?

We are booked for CBR in late November. We booked with a pin code that had to be used by 3/31. I was wondering if we decided to upgrade to a deluxe resort, would the pin code still be valid since we already have a trip booked? We were tossing around the idea, and was curious if it was even an option. Thanks for your help.
