We are looking forward to it (66 days to go!). We're staying there at the end of May for 8 days to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary.

I do have one question - I hear that Artist Point is wonderful, but what type of breakfast service is there? I'm so used to the "food court" atmosphere from when we stayed at PO last time. Can you grab a quick bite like a bagel or cereal? We don't want to have the full breakfast every morning.

The Roaring Forks quick-service restaurant is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat, whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner. More often than not, I'd spend the days at the parks and maybe get a drink or a snack here and there, and then stumble weak and tired back to the hotel, stop off at Roaring Forks and grab something to eat before dozing off. I don't usually feel like sitting around wasting time in a sit-down restaurant, so I'd hit the RF. It's worth it.

Just like my wife and I did for our 1yr anniversary. :)

When we were there Artist Point was a character breakfast. The seated you and brought you a plate of food (eggs, sausages, bacon, some other bread-type thing -- can't remember that well, it was 11/2000). I thought most of it was pretty good, but my wife didn't like much of it.

If you're into lighter/quicker breakfasts, then Roarding Forks (just a bit further down the ramp and around the corner) is probably better for you. It's a quick cafeteria-type service. Not great, but functional.

The wilderness lodge is wonderful!!! It is so cozy and especially inviting during christmas time. I would return in a heartbeat. I was dissappointed to hear about the character breakfast being cancelled, it was wonderful but not for a quick breakfast. Make priority seating arrangements!!!
