:) We are staying at Wilderness Lodge this year and I don't know what to ask the room assigner. I have a 3 year old. So other than not much walking, can anyone help??

Well if you have a courtyard view (pool) ask to be off the ground floor so don't have everyone walking by with a clear line of site into your room.

If you are standard or woods view, might was to ask to be high enough up to have a view of space mountain, comtemp resort and the monorail. Might be able to see the MK fireworks if you're high enough.

Also might want to ask to be near the lobby... the hallways out to the ends of the wings can be a deceptively long walk.

Cheers!

We usually stay at the WL (2 kids 8 and 14). We went with another family who had 3 kids the youngest being 4. If you want to see the MK and castle ask for rooms 6022 to 6032, that is if the trees haven't gotten too tall. Just remember to supervise the little one when outside( Like you would forget, but they can be tricky). These rooms are also close to the Roaring Forks snack bar (The elevator opens at the end of the hallway...near the pool and laundry) This is a great hotel for kids. The pools are fun and the boat to the MK is nice. Don't forget to buy the mugs...then you drink for free while you are at the hotel. We drink alot and this really saves $$. Have a great trip.

hey tigdmom,

Do you know what "view" those rooms are? are they standard, woods, or courtyard?

just curious. I'm staying at WL with a standard view and was wondering if I should request those by room number or not.

TIA,

Ibelieve these are woods view...we usually stay right above the little pond inback. It's nice to hear all the animal sounds...until you realize that they stop at midnight!!

IMHO, If you're going standard view, ask to be over the lobby.

The view out your balcony may not be the best (ours was of the bus stop), but walking out that front door to the awesome lobby is the best.

There are rocking chairs in the hallway--it is a great place for morning coffee or bedtime hot chocolate.
