If you want to stand on the shingles, no, but the balcanes in the roof are for those *expensive* rooms (presidents room, etc) with a million rooms and their own personal maids and such.

You can get to the actual roof of the main lodge building by being the "Flag Family" and raising all the flags above the lodge on a given day. A cast member, usually Stan, the ranger, will take you up.
You take the elevator up to the top floor of the main lodge building and then go up stairs the rest of the way. The stairs you see opposite the registration desk way up top are part of the system. There are even more stairs above that you can't see from inside.
You have to be a guest of the Lodge and sign up for the experience. It's free an fills up quickly since only one family a day can do it.
