wanting to stay at wilderness lodge in a standard room--never in room enough to worry about a view-but are there any standard room that would be better than others???

Might want to check what Standard means....it can mean LOBBY most times if not indicated with a courtyard or MK view....last year we were in the lobby and it was rather noisy from the Whispering Canyon......but if noise does not interfere with your sleep then go for it...costs less. Our view was of the green roof over the luggage area....nothing special. But then again we were not there to sit on the patio!!:D One nice thing about being in the lobby is you DO have a nice view outside your front door.....rocking chairs were plentiful and we did just sit and gaze a few times......have fun!!!

We stayed in a standard room at the Wilderness Lodge and our room had a view of the lagoon. I guess they upgraded us. I didn't ask for it, but was sure glad I got it. The wall around the balcony was stone and rather high (chest high on me and I am 5 foot 3). We could not sit out there and enjoy the view but gave me and my husband a sense of security when the door was open. We didn't have to worry about the kids falling over.

The standard view rooms at WL can range from parking lot to roof to woods. It's a beautiful resort. I've stayed there at least 5 times in varying views. It's one of my families favorite resorts.

You will love it no matter what the view.

Regardless, most views are good. The building is beautiful, so seeing part of it, as a roof, for example is pretty good. The tree growth is such, that even the parking lot views aren't bad. I think you'll be happy.
