Wilderness Lodge-Villas

We have never stayed at the Villas in Wilderness Lodge before. Is there a floor that is more "desirable" than others? We'll be going the first week of November.

Any other information that might be helpful would be much appreciated.

We like to request a higher floor with a water view. We've lucked out a couple of times and got a perfect view of the water and could even see the Electrical Water Pageant from our balcony.

However, one negative thing about the 5th floor is that the balconies are enclosed. The only way you can enjoy the view from the balcony is if you are standing. When you sit in the chairs, you can't see anything.

Also, we try to avoid being on the side with the bus stops. An entire section of the villas face them, and if you like to sit on your balcony, it is not very pleasant.

If you do not like higher floors, the ground floor rooms on the side facing the woods in front of the lake are nice.

We stopped in the villas the one year we went to WL. We were on the ground floor it was perfectly fine, and was a nice easy walk to the villa-exclusive pool.

We have stayed there each December for the past 5 years and have had no problems. Rarely use the balconies, since we are up and out each morning to enjoy the parks. Have used the pool late in the evening, it is nice and quiet, also has it's own whirlpool. The exercise facilites (if you want them are on the first floor).
Easy morning walk to Roaring Forks to pick up a quick breakfast or use the kitchen facilites in your room (unless you have the studio style - they only have a microwave and tiny refrigerator).
Have found the bus stop location very good - quick to get to and bus to each of the parks come frequently. Able to walk to Pioneer Hall from VWL if you want to.
Atmosphere is really great.

i just like to have a view of the pool area. My trip in January I did not have a balcony in the studio. That was a bit of a bummer but I was still in Disney.

This is fantastic! I have been doing alot of research online about the villas and we decided that we are going to stay there next year to celebrate my son's senior year of HS. My husband really wanted to stay here so the info is great for me too. Has anyone gotten a 2 bedroom? We have 2 boys and a girl, Boys will be 17and 10 and daughter will be 12 when we go. Are they really spacious? We had thought about staying in the treehouse villas but decided it's too far out of the way.

We had a two bedroom in 2007 on the 3rd floor with a view of the woods on the lake side. it was pretty and relaxing. It was 4 adults with each couple having their own rooms and it was more than enough space. One room had a king size bed while the second room had two queen size beds with a bathroom in each room. The kitchen and living room were plenty big for all of us to sit and watch Stacey on TV. the couch pulls out into a queen. If you want some good pictures just go to this link and it should give you a idea what the place looks like.
