Does the Wilderness Lodge share their buses with another bus? I saw where those buses were also taking GF guests on a bus this weekend? Could someone give me the details on that??

I won't pretend to be an expert on this. When staying at Wilderness, the only bus that was shared was the Magical Express, which stopped at GF and Poly prior to the WL (I think that it then proceeds to the Contemporary). Otherwise, I never shared a bus with another resort for trips to/from the parks.

Just returned yesterday from a week at WL. In the morning, WL shared a bus to the Studios with GF. However, on the way back, WL was paired with Ft. Wilderness campground. WL shared buses with Ft. Wilderness to Epcot, AK and DTD (and back). WL had its own bus to MK. WL was always picked up first and dropped off first.

What time of year did you visit? We have stayed at WL several times and have always shared buses to all locations except MK.

As I noted, I am definitely not the expert. We weren't there that many days and used the buses to the MK only. For EPCOT (we had one day for that park), we used the monorail for the fun of it. Sorry about that. I just researched this question on allears.net and they confirmed that the resort shares buses exactly Tuvalu stated.

I think the bus service for the MK/Monorail resorts varies depending on how busy the parks are on a given day, or peak season/non-peak season, because I've never seen any real pattern to it.

My family has stayed at WL several times but haven't stayed there in a few years. However back in 2011, they don't share a bus to MK, they usually seemed to stop at GF on the way to DHS. However, everything else seemed very random and I can't really remember for sure. I think a lot of it depends on crowds and what not that day. What I do remember is that if WL shared a bus leaving a park, it always stopped at WL first.

We stayed at WL back in 2010 and I recall having our morning buses for DAK and DHS stop at the Poly and the GF before heading to the parks. I believe our bus service to Epcot was shared with Ft Wilderness. MK service was the most unpredictable ... I'm guessing since the resort also has boat service ... but it made for some tough mornings before the boats were running.

I stayed there a couple months ago and the bus shared with the Grand Floridian. Coming from the parks they stopped at the Lodge first. They don't share to magic Kingdom. It was direct route to and from.

One would think going to the parks, it would share (if they had to partner it with any resort) with Contemp. Poly and GF should share. Makes sense since they are closest together. Who knows why they decide to do it the way they do!!

Having stayed there just a couple weeks back. Here's what I experienced. If traveling to Epcot, the bus would arrive empty at the WL, take the first left outside the WL gates and then the loop to Fort Wilderness, pick up there and then the back way to Epcot past the kennels. If going to AK or HS, it would arrive at the WL empty, then head to GF, never stopping at the Poly or Contemporary, pick up guests at the GF and then direct to either of the parks. I never took the bus from the WL to the MK as the boat is more efficient. I assume for the HS and AK runs that the poly and contemporary ride share on those routes.
As for Magical Express, outbound from the airport and inbound to the airport appear to share all 4 MK based resort hotels, as mine stopped at all 4 both coming and going.
