At this point in our stay, we've been everywhere and done everything we've been able (and wanted) to see. So this morning we got up and decided to hit Animal Kingdom again. We went through EE and Dinosaur multiple times, and even took in another spin on Kilimanjaro Safaris, followed up by a walk down the Pangani trail.....where.....when we got to the spot where you can typically see the hippos from below the water, we arrived just in time for it to come up for air and a bowel movement. Everyone there was so thrilled, if not disgusted. Then we hit Pizzafari for lunch. It's a usual spot for us, they have good pizza there and I'm glad they haven't been converted over to flatbreads like over at Pinocchio Village Haus at MK. From there we did It's Tough to Be a Bug and walked around a little more until we decided to take the bus over to Epcot, since we would have to end up there anyway for our dinner at Nine Dragons. So we wandered through World Showcase for a while (including buying some of our favorite candy, a MuskMelon candy in Japan) and decided to head over to Nine Dragons to check in early for dinner. We checked in at 5:10, though our reservation wasn't for 5:30 and they took us in right away. I was impressed that we got everything we ordered so quickly....drinks, meal, dessert. Until that point, we had been 0 for 2 in trying out restaurants we hadn't eaten at before. We'll be putting Nine Dragons on our list to return to. After a quick trip on Spaceship Earth again, we headed over to Magic Kingdom.....to see if that one cast member's story we heard the other day (which he admitted was only a rumor) was true or not, that another part of New Fantasyland had been opened up and it appeared to NOT be true. So we all walked back to Tomorrowland and did another multiple run through on Buzz Lightyear and Space Mtn (during which time my DW headed back to the WL to get off her feet for a while, while the 3 of us did more Space Mtn and Buzz) until we decided to head back to the resort ourselves. Tomorrow we'll probably start off at DHS again. Our meal tomorrow, I believe, is at Biergarten for lunch. Always good.
Some side notes:
1. Why do they usually have the Express Monorail boarding area roped off/closed at the Magic Kingdom? Normally we'd have the choice of taking the resort monorail or the express, and it seems like it's only the resort one they have running.
2. Why is it that AK always seems to be the hottest of the theme parks? Granted, today was a very hot, sticky day all around, but still.....
3. Got a lot of compliments on my t-shirt.....which is a black t with two big green cat's eyes and a large toothy grin (obviously the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland - Burton's film version).
4. I think MouseGear is probably THE best gift shop of all the four theme parks. The selection there for t-shirts and mugs and so forth is better than any of the main shops at the other parks.
