Wilderness Lodge trip - Day 3

Today we spent the better part of the day at the Hollywood Studios. By the time we got around back towards Toy Story Mania, surprisingly enough there were still fastpasses to be gotten (this was around 10:00 or so, although our passes weren't good until 3. So we did MuppetVision 3D and the newer Star Tours (it was our first experience on it since our updates), which we all enjoyed. We'll have to ride it a few more times to see the other experiences. We were able to do the Backlot Tour, which was fine, but it sounded to me like it was now all a prerecorded spiel.....is that true? I think the "Harbor Attack" audience participation skit is getting quite old by now. Time for a change.....and along with change, I find it hard to believe they can't get other movie props to put out in the boneyards. Really....they STILL have that "Flight of the Navigator" ship out there? I noticed they also took away the boney prison ball from POTC 2. After the Backlot Tour, we ran over to the Sci-Fi Diner for our lunch reservations. It was pretty unanimous that other than the great shakes, we wouldn't have to eat there again. The food just wasn't very good, and the only time we ever saw our waitress was for her to either take our order or give us our food. Just seemed all "rush, rush, get them out" to me. After that, we were able to hit RnRc (on single rider line) and get a ToT fastpass, before heading back to use our Toy Story fastpasses (of course, I had the highest score of all of us, but it came at a price of a sore wrist). Then we went and did ToT, and afterwards decided to head over (by boat) to Epcot for a little while. Didn't get a whole lot done there, once we saw the initial 45 minute wait for Soarin.....but we did Living With the Land and on the way out of The Land, I found 2 fastpasses for Soarin, which I and one other took advantage of. One thing I have to say about Soarin', is that it's embarrassing how poor the quality of the film has become. The neglect is quite sad to see....what with the graininess and all the flecks showing up in the film. Just sad... Shortly after that, we decided to head on back to WL for a quick meal dinner, and then just to chill. Now that we've hit all four theme parks, tomorrow it'll just be "go where we feel like".
