Wilderness Lodge transportation question

My wife and I are considering a stay at the Wilderness Lodge, and I have a couple of transportation questions:

1) Are there buses that run from the WL directly to the MK, or do all the buses only go to the Ticket and Transportation Center?

2) How many other resorts do the WL buses have to go to?

3) There is boat service from the WL to the MK correct? How long does it take?

4) Overall, how's the bus/boat service from the WL....is it generally quick?

Thanks for any help anyone can give....this is our 4th trip to Disney, but the first time staying on-site.

buses go to the TTC. You get a boat to MK. Or, if you'd like to be creative, you can also take a boat to the Contemporary, then monorail or walk to MK.

It seems that this changes as demand and hotel capacity fluctuates. When we were there, the bus did WL, Polynesian, and GF. Once we stopped at the Contemporary but not the others.

3) There is boat service from the WL to the MK correct? How long does it take?
once you get on the boat, about 8-10 minutes. It is a very pleasant and interesting ride.

4) Overall, how's the bus/boat service from the WL....is it generally quick?
opinion is all over the place on this one. I had no problems, and never felt that the wait was excessive--even at morning rush when the first boat was full and we had to wait for another.

Thanks for the response. Sounds like the boat will be the best option to MK.

Any ideas on why this bus doesn't go directly to the MK?

One thing I didn't ask before was.....how's the transportation to the other parks? Are there buses for each park, or do they do multiple stops.

There's a separate bus for AK, Studios, Epcot and TTC.

Disney transportation is great for people like me who hate driving in a strange place with traffic jams.

We have stayed at the WL many times and love the nice change that the boats offer. The wait times for the boats seem to be no different than for the buses and as Yellow Shoes said "It is a very pleasant and interesting ride".

We even take the boat when going to EPCOT from the WL ... boat to MK, Monorail to TTC, Monorail to EPCOT. Probably takes a little more time but is way more fun than riding a BUS.

Here's what you do - Stay at the WL, you will absolutely love it, (it is the best resort that we have stayed in), accept the fact that you will be taking the boat to the MK, and ENJOY it. :sohappy:
