Wilderness Lodge room questions

Hi -

I am booking a room at the wilderness lodge and want to try to get one that faces the Magic Kingdom. I am having a hard time figuring out what room I need to book to make that possible.

The room I am planning to get is a Woods View - would this possibly point toward MK? What would I need to ask for, and how would I go about making that request? I am assuming it would need to be on an upper floor, but beyond that I don't know.

thanks!

I agree with @Trotsky ....there are no rooms at The WL that really has a MK view. If a view is what you want, the CR is the place to stay it will be m ore expensive. We stayed at the WL 2X and asked for a pool view...it was great! Good luck with your decision. :cat:

We were in room 4058 a few years ago. It was a standard view (not woods) and overlooked the smoke house. We could see the monorail line through the trees. Not a particularly good view, until we heard booming that night...and we opened the drapes to a perfect view of Wishes! So if you are looking for a fireworks-view room, request any room in following range: 4060-4042, 5060-5042 or 6060-6042.

We could see the main spire of the castle and the fireworks from the woods view room on the 4th floor. There were trees but it was still cool. We could also see the monorail.

We stayed at the WL in 2012, (going back next year!!!) we stayed in a Courtyard view room towards the end of the 'U' shape, although you can't see the castle, we could see Wishes perfectly, think we were on the 5th floor.

Not sure what your situation is, but if you take the boat that travels to ft wilderness - contemporary - back to WL, you can get a view of Wishes on the water.

We accidentally stumbled on this making our way to late ressies at te Contemporary, and it was pretty cool.

thanks everyone for the helpful replies! I think I know now at least which rooms to request... the question is - how do I go about requesting them? Do I just call up?

Call and have your request added to your reservation. They will tell you they cannot guarantee anything, but it will at least be noted and you might get what you want :)

If you really want to be able to SEE the Magic Kingdom, you might try the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, or Contemporary Resorts. The Wilderness Lodge, while technically in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area, doesn't really provide you any views of the park itself.
