Wilderness Lodge Room Capacity

At www.disneyworld.com, the resort information says that WL non-suite rooms have a maximum occupancy of 6.

This can't be right, can it?

I always thought that WL could only hold 4.

It also states that Animal Kingdom Lodge can hold 5 in a non-suite. Again, I thought AKL could only hold 4.

Have they put day beds in AKL and WL?

Could this be including babies in cribs?

(I designed my reservation query for 2 adults and 2 children, 11 & 17)

I would assume it would be including infants in cribs, but wouldn't they specify that? That really makes no sense.

Any way you think about it at AKL in a non-suite room, you get either two queen beds, a queen bed and a bunkbed, or a king bed and a daybed. Any of those options make for four in a room, five with a crib.

Who knows. Maybe they made a mistake. We should call them on their mistake!!! ;)

I've looked into the Wilderness Lodge for a future trip, and I discovered they have a room category between Standard and Suite called Deluxe. It's essentially a small suite (500 sq. ft.) with a fold-out couch in addition to the two beds. With five of us in our group, this is an option we're exploring.

They used to be called Jr Suites, my BIL had to rent one when we all stayed there together because he has 3 kids... even though all three kids could have fit in one of the queen size beds.

They are spread throughout the resort, but the one they had was on the first floor just off the pool and they had not problems with noise. They found out it was quicker to walk around the pool to the lobby than trying to navigate the halls/elevators.

AKA Junior Suites. That's the kind of room my family is staying in. A majority of the suites are "Deluxe" rooms. Otherwise, you're looking at a handful of Honeymoon Suites, a Vice-Presidential, and a Presidential Suite.
