Wilderness Lodge Quick Service Rehab

All,

I am staying at WL in February and received a letter a couple weeks ago stating that the Quick Service Dining area will be closed until March but that Artist Pointe and Whispering Canyon would remain open. Does anyone have any experience with this type of situation and know if either of the mentioned restaraunts will offer the refill mugs and smaller food portions other then there usual menus or is it just a your-out-of-luck situation.

It's not a huge deal either way, I love staying there. But we all love the refill mugs!!!

It was several years ago, but one time I stayed at the Polynesian while Cap't Hook's was closed for refurbishment. They still managed to sell small stuff from nearby carts and coolers stationed in the lobby/hallway. I don't remember how they handled refill mugs, coffee, soda, etc. Sorry.

I'm staying at the Wilderness Lodge for 11 days in February also, and with three little ones - I was a little concerned. I'm sure they will have carts or some sort of area set up for our convenience. I'm not going to worry about it, Disney always comes through! :animwink:

Does anyone have any details on this rehab? IMHO Roaring Forks has always been at best average in terms of crowd management and seating. It could use some re-working in terms of the set-up. If they are going to re-work it (not just clean it up) any chance they will re-do that tiny laundry room too? don't get me wrong, I LOVE the WL. But I feel those two areas are the resorts weakest features.

I called the WL today and spoke to someone about this. I was wondering how they were going to manage it since dh & i have to have our mugs! The man I spoke to said they're going to either move things to the pool bar or WCC. He said for like the mugs you can take them to WCC or pool bar and have them fill them up. No telling how this is going to work out, but that's what I was told. Oh he also said something about picking up the mugs in the gift shop or at the pool bar too. Don't quote me on this (never know if the guy was 100% sure either), but that's what I was told as of today. If anyone else calls and hears anything, let us know. We're going in Feb also. :xmas:
