Wilderness Lodge Construction, Club Level and Old Faithful Status?

Hello! Has anyone here been to WL recently.....are the elevators in the lobby functional again? I had read they were blocked and peeps had to use the ones by Roaring Fork. I also read the entire wing towards the Villas was gutted and being refurbed. That the Old Faithful on club level was also being revamped and temporarily in the VP Suite....and that half of that was shut on said other wing, and views to the lobby unavailable. So here I am with a Club level reservation made early July, hoping for a discount, but had been planning to move to another floor if not, but nothing has been available in whole resort for past few months....and no discounts available either.

WHEN I talked to several Disney chat fairies and someone on the phone about my reservation the were adamant that the only construction now was outside the resort itself....can anyone confirm this?
I am going in November and curious what's going on.

We were at WL on club level Aug 11-20. It is true the Faithful Club is in the VP suite but it still had the same offerings and such. We were on the 7 level facing the Magic Kingdom. The smoke house was below and construction was taking place each day along Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon but we never heard a thing. Also added bonus with being that high and some trees being down on that side you can watch Wishes directly from your balcony. If you are staying club level in a standard room just request a top level (call and add to your reservation) and put that on your online check in.

Goodness I had no idea they were substituting other floors in lieu of club level being halfed....my ressie states standard room Club Level, so I assumed it was 7th floor that we have always had...best get my wings flapping and get that set.....I like being courtyard and facing the waterfall....just now I got pinged from the WL that they have my request of a 7th floor room but of course not guaranteed. Hee hee I have the direct number to the concierge on the 7th floor if that phone is still functioning....thanks for update and information!

Oh and is it true that one cannot go sit and view the lobby from 7th floor now? That would be a bummer...how about the concierge desk is that now at top of the two elevators to access floors?

But yes the standard view club level is normally on the 7th floor. We personally don't enjoy the courtyard view so we also request the woods/bay lake view. But everyone is different as enjoys what they like.

Once during a 10 day visit most of us got ill for a few days, and laying in bed with doorwall open listening to waterfall was wonderful....I did not know that about the deluxe....thanks for that. Got feedback from WL....it seems it may be possible that by November the other wing may be open, I had inquired about a King bed courtyard and they said there was ONE but it was being refurbished, but they marked it on my preference in case it was available when we arrived. Do you know if there is still seating open to the lobby from the 7th floor to soak up the ambience? We have visited most years over the past 10 and before the Old Faithful had its own spot it was on barrels and boards set up each morning on bridge between wings. Eating breakfast overlooking the lobby is one of my favorite things. I understand much may change prior to my visit so looking forward to hearing about your experience after your next visit!

I did some looking around and wasnt able to find an exact timeline. Is there a date or time period out there that all this construction will be wrapping up/finished? I am possibly staying here in February with a few first time visitors and want it to be awesome for them!
